Even after 30 years in the business David Tanner still struggles to cope with success for Celtic.

In the mid-nineties he was the fresh faced lad bringing the sports news on STV before hitting the big time with a gig on Sky Sports.

Presenting live Scottish football with showbiz mates like Neil McCann was dream time for Tanner as he got pitch-side to ask Walter deep reaching questions on the back of multiple successes before the dark days of 2012.

More than a decade of Celtic success has coincided with a career decline that went from Sky Sports to Hibs TV and now very limited air time as TalkSPORT’s token Scottish reporter.

A few Twitter rants have failed to bring in offers from the blue half of Glasgow where Emma Dodds is monopolising all matters broadcasting.

A fifth Celtic treble in seven years is looming but next season could be much worse as the laughable title of World’s Most Successful Club is removed in the most painful fashion (not Sakala).

Despite various attempts at trolling a Twitter following of under 14,000 isn’t likely to land Tanner any new broadcasting contracts.

So the Daily record “online” have a story they picked up from social media about Matt O’Riley celebrating Jota’s goal in front of “the rangers” support. But the “the rangers” supporter disgustingly spitting which also is all over social media doesn’t get a mention by the Daily record “online” ….. funny that eh.
