After all the trash talking and rabble rousing Micky Beale had to face the music after yesterday’s match at Hampden.

All that stats in the world can’t shield you from losing three successive Glasgow Derbies. Perhaps if Beale and his club had taken a more realistic approach to facing Celtic it would have been less traumatic.

But when your club is agreeing to interviews from no-mark assistant Neil Banfield through to Nico Raskin defying logic to fans there is a helluva price to be paid when the result goes against you. Again.

All that talk about the gap, the lucky manager, Jota’s handball and the rest won’t wash when bears have to suffer a week of misery from gloating Selik fans. Again.

The buck stops with Beale, he took on the challenge, in November he claimed that the squad of the Europa League Finalists wasn’t broken.

The man that happily undermined Giovanni van Bronckhorst better come up with some answers very quickly, not just talking about the fings that he finks about.

If the answer is Kieran Dowell Beale really does have a massive job to do.

It’s happened a few times this season, it’s repeated itself, in big moments we’ve made mistakes or we’ve switched off. I fot we came out second half and we had a right go at the game again, and as I say we had big opportunities at the other end, we’re not decisive so at bofe ends of the pitch we failed today, in-between that I fot we played a lot of good football.

  • Captain Swing says:

At last the knuckle-heids are waking up to the fact that even gormless chip shop magnate Ian Beale would have made a better manager….

I fink and it is well documented, that the only fing that matters in a cup semi-final – is the result.
So for Micky, the nightmare season is almost over. Or is it just beginning?
