Beale runs out of cash for his Summer Revolution

Micky Beale’s transfer war-chest appears to have been emptied by the signing of Sam Lammers.

The £3.5m striker arrived after three free agents were swooped up but with pre-season training starting on Friday there won’t be many new faces checking in at Murray Park.

Five regulars from last season- Ryan Kent, Alfredo Morelos, Malik Tillman, Scott Arfield and Allan McGregor- have walked away with Ross Wilson’s departure leaving Beale in charge of all transfer activities.

Over the last two months the rookie Ibrox boss has been staring into the eyes of prospective signings but unless there is cash on the table clubs aren’t prepared to do business with the charismatic Ibrox boss.

Defenders Auston Trusty and Jonathan Pazo have been getting the Virgil van Dijk comparisons but with contracts at Arsenal and Nottingham Forest it will take more than Beale’s charm to get them to Ibrox.

The Daily Mail reports:

Beale also remains in the  market for a left-sided centre-back. Auston Trusty was his preferred summer target but negotiations have stalled over Arsenal’s financial demands.

The London club are willing to offload the American international after his loan spell at Birmingham City last term but Rangers have been priced out of a transfer.

Similarly, Rangers are not willing to meet Nottingham Forest’s  asking price for Jonathan Panzo.

Panzo spent last season on loan at Coventry City and is unlikely to play for Steve Cooper’s side as they embark on their second Premier League campaign.

With no club prepared to pay a fee for John Lundstram, Borna Barisic, Glen Kamara, Kemar Roofe, Scott Wright, Ben Davies, Rabbi Matondo or Ianis Hagi Beale faces an uphill task completing his transfer revolution.

“…but Rangers have been priced out of a transfer.”

Aye they were priced out by Arsenal’s financial demand of “We will require payment.”

Next we’ll be getting told of Moley’s exciting new crop of youngsters that will be getting blooded by the tactical genie-ass because there were no players available anywhere on the market capable of reaching his high standards! But wee Billy McOrangeboynemason will be bigger than Mbappe by the end of the season thanks to Beale’s ability as the best coach in the country….

    Fuds.

  • Robert Jenkins says:

Not surprised there’s no money especially as they are building a 164 000 seater stadium.

  • Captain Swing says:

He byline used on that newspaper headline – “boss plans to snap up FIVE stars” – is a typo. What they really meant is “boss plans to snap up 5Star”, the terrible 80s pop group…..

  • Scud Missile says:

Why don’t they do an action replay of the Sillyman deal at Bayern, get all the players he and the klan klub are linked with, take them onloan for the season and get first dibs at signing them, then collect the COMPO for the deal not going through and also collect the add ons from their clubs future transfers of those players.
With enough change left over to purchase that 164,000 capacity stadium.
