Chris Sutton believes that there are still some twists to come in Spurs’ interest in Ange Postecoglou.

Over the last few days there has been a growing belief that the Celtic boss will meet up with Daniel Levy early next week to discuss a move to the Londoners.

A massive pay rise would be on offer with everything higher than Postecoglou currently enjoys except for the expected trophy haul.

In the Scottish media it seems to be a done deal but in England the former Yokohama boss appears to be a name on a short list- with Luis Enrique available and guaranteed to be more acceptable to Spurs fans with the former employers on his CV.

Sutton is a rarity in that he has roles in both media camps with the bulk of his work involving the Daily Mail and BBC Five Live!

Concluding his column in the Daily Record, the former Chelsea striker writes:

What will be, will be with Postecoglou, and I still suspect there will be some twists in this tale. But if he does go, the Celtic players will be out to make sure he leaves on a high – as much for themselves as for their manager.

After the final whistle today there will be 100% focus on Postecoglou- without the distraction of a potential Treble winning Scottish Cup Final.

Another english point of view about Ange and the spurs job is from Mark Goldbridge who reckons that whatever happens Spurs would only be capable of finishing around 7th/8th because they are nowhere near the likes of Man C , Arsenal, Liverpool, Chelsea , Man U , Newcastle and maybe even Brighton – so would a midtable finish REALLY appeal ?

There’s nuffing on BBC Teletext Sport or to be heard on Talksport Radio either on this story.
It appears to be a figment of the imagination of Scottish jourrnalists and their desire for a quicky headline!
