No Tillman Terms as Beale turns to loans to boost his Revolution

Micky Beale has failed to secure Tillman Terms on the loan deal to bring Abdallah Sima to Ibrox.

Last week it was revealed by The Rangers Review that Bayern Munich had paid a cancellation fee on Malik Tillman’s Ibrox deal with a 10% windfall heading to Beale’s warchest once the starlet is sold with Brighton and Brentford expected to battle it out.

Without any hint of questioning virtually every media outlet ran with the story, claiming that £2m was heading to Ibrox for taking a player on loan, in normal circumstances it is the parent club that is quids in from a loan deal.

Davie Weir is in charge of loan deals at Brighton and won’t be paying out anything to get Sima out on loan for the third season running.

Record Sport understands the 22-year-old is expected to complete a medical and then sign a season long loan deal in Glasgow in the next 24 hours. The fine details of the agreement were being thrashed out between the clubs late on Wednesday afternoon even though any hope Michael Beale may have had of ultimately landing Sima on a long term contract have been killed off by the Premiership club.

Beale has previously expressed a reluctance to tap into the temporary transfer market or hire quick fixes as he looks to lay the foundations for a major rebuild during his first summer in charge. But, so highly does he rate Sima, that he is prepared to make an exception to his own rule in order to secure the services of the Senegal international.

The Ibrox club struck a deal with Bayern Munich a year ago to bring in Malik Tillman on a similar short term deal but also negotiated an exclusive option to buy the American outright for a price of around £5m. And that agreement was ripped up following Tillman’s impressive 12 month stay in Scotland, at the end of which he was voted the country’s young player of the year.

It’s been widely reported that the Bundesliga giants have had to shell out a compensation sum of around £1m to Rangers in order to cancel that arrangement and look to bring in top dollar for Tillman on the open market. And Brighton have no intention of making the same costly mistake where Sima is concerned, even though the attacker has yet to make his debut on the south coast, two years after joining for around £7m from Slavia Prague.

Despite claims that £6m had been ring-fenced to sign Tillman it appears that Beale’s war-chest was emptied by the £3.5m signing of Sam Lammers on June 15.

With zero sign of interest from clubs in Borna Barisic, Ben Davies, Kemar Roofe, John Lundstram, Ianis Hagi and Glen Kamara it looks like Beale will have to settle for a mini-Revolution mainly made up of free agents and loan signings.

Are you mad ? It was an unnamed source , or according to a report Bollox ! The scoops get their feel good factor fable at all costs , and the merry go round continues on !

You’ll notice too that with all of the freebies Beale has recruited for his erm , revolution , no other clubs were interested in bringing in those players ? Or do the rules for a contract ‘run down ‘ player stipulate that it’s the first and only club you are allowed to sign for Buckshee ?
