Rewriting Scottish football history around 2012 is standard practise for most media outlets as they perform gymnastics over the liquidation of Rangers and the death of their cherished O** F*** tag.

Financial meltdown is a popular means of deflection while demotion and relegation are often used to protect viewers and readers from the reality of Her Majesty rejecting a CVA.

Suddenly Rangers were no more, Charles Green formed a Tribute Act, weighed in Ally McCoist and before you could shout Going For 55 that tricky issue was resolved.

Today Sky Sports took things a stage further, not only did Rangers avoid liquidation but they weren’t even in the top flight during all of Brendan Rodgers’ time at Celtic!

Try telling that to Mark Warburton, Pedro Caixinha, Wes Foderingam, James Tavernier, Andy Halliday, Barry Mackay and Martyn Waghorn. Graeme Murty resigned in shame after his side handed Celtic the title in a 5-0 Demolition Derby, two weeks after losing 4-0 in  Scottish Cup semi-final.

Sky Sports rolled out all of the O** F*** treatment for the fixtures as Celtic won 5-1 home and away on their way to the SPFL title with a League Cup semi-final victory thrown in for good measure.

Celtic finished that SPFL campaign with a record 106 points, 39 points ahead of the Ibrox club, with a goal difference of +81 while their city ‘rivals’ finished the season +12. Aberdeen finished in second place, nine ahead of Caixinha’s side.

When the fixtures are announced sky sevco will do their usual in dates and times of games and the celtic board will do their usual and just accept it.

Story on celticfc.net says Stevie Hammel is the new Head of Academy Coaching!
    Michael Nicholson says he
” … Will Ensure That The Club Continues To Assess And Apply New Learnings And Best Practice …”.
    Not quite sure what
    “New Learnings”
    are or means.
Maybe it is things that no-one thought of before, perhaps!

So “Whats the goalie daein Tam” didnt actually happen as it was Moussa who lobbed Foderingham or did I dream that ? And the Rodgers inspired sub by putting on Edouard when we were down to 10 and pushed on to win 3-2 actually didnt happen ??

  • Scud Missile says:

Rumours now circulating around Ibrox that King with the Easedale brothers are heading for a takeover with another American investor also with the backing of klub 18to30.
Restrictions lifted on the Easedales so now let the battle commence as they aim to remove big BEEFY BENNETT.
Watch for the press taking the side of BILLY LIAR and doing his donkey work for them by putting the PRESSURE right on BENNETT and Co.

  • John Copeland says:

I think it tells it’s own story about the SS when they rate big fake Kris Boyd as a commentator and analyst on the grossly underfunded Scottish football production programmes by giving him regular air time ! Maybe they think that he’s the biggest thing on television ? If you catch my drift ?

  • Robert Downey says:

Sky Sports do it on a regular basis, they treat Scottish football with total disdain.
Very little or no research is done before an Item regarding Scottish football, the” mistakes” they make are breathtaking.
There is also a very noticeable bias towards Rangers.
One of the worst presenters on there is Hayley McQueen, she knows nothing and it is written down in front of her and she has an autocue.
