Daizen Maeda replaces Liel Abada from the Celtic side that beat Aberdeen last Saturday for today’s Scottish Cup Final against Inverness Caley Thistle at Hampden.

The winger was suspended for the win over the Dons but replaces Liel Abada in the starting XI with Jota switching to the right wing.

Tomoki Iwata continues in central defence but there is no place on the bench for Yuki Kobayashi who started alongside Carl Starfelt in two of the four post split fixtures.

After three underwhelming performances following the title clincher at Tynecastle Celtic roared back to form against Aberdeen.

Kyogo Furuhashi and Alistair Johnston both went off injured but are fit and well to start the final match of the season as Celtic go for a world record eighth domestic treble.

John Beaton will referee today’s match with Steven McLean covering the action on VAR

CELTIC: Hart; Johnston, Starfelt, Iwata, Taylor; McGregor, Hatate, O’Riley; Abada, Kyogo, Jota

SUBS: Siegrist, Turnbull, Haksabanovic, Welsh, Oh, Bernabei, Forrest, Ralston, Abada

I see the sevco fans are screaming for Ramos and Benzema to finish their careers at ibrox, apparently they are coming home is the chant.

Is Celtic actually playing at Hampden today?

I just switched over from the racing and the BBC have only talked about Caley.

The usual two ex rankers players and someone who played for both finalists, Christie, to provide the “balance”.
