After a very slow start to the transfer window Glasgow Airport seems to be the place to be for Celtic supporters.
According to a couple of reports three potential signings have arrived in the country over the weekend although there hasn’t been any of the traditional, staged media pictures coming through Arrivals.
Tapping into the speculation Anthony Joseph dug into his archives to share an image from the summer of 1997 which had more than a few Celtic fans putting 2 and 2 together and guessing at the four signings about to be announced.
If Celtic don’t do something like this, this week, then they’re missing a trick… pic.twitter.com/ZfGIY0rpgO

You’re reading too much into the tweet, Paul!

Maik Nawrocki appears to have undergone a Celtic medical with Polish sources expecting an announcement on Sunday or Monday that the defender has left Legia Warsaw for Celtic.
Yang Hyun-jun and Kwon Hyeok-kyu have been ‘on the radar’ for a while longer, late on Saturday pictures surfaced of the South Korean duo trekking through Glasgow Airport.
Wim’s signings of 1997 certainly made an impact on a decimated squad, Brendan Rodgers has inherited a Treble winning squad but certainly in Nawrocki he is demonstrating a wish to raise the standards in his squad.
A reminder that we spent almost twice as much on Darren Jackson as we did on Henrik Larsson! A prime example of boardroom interference in signing policy. As I repeatedly said at the time, Wim Jansen did not turn up and tell Jock Brown “get me Darren Jackson, I want to build my team around him!”. Jackson was a Hibs-level player who was never a Celtic player in million years.
I didn’t care for that 1997-99 strip at the time – I usually hate fitba tops with “shirt collars” – but 26 years later, it looks great and purchasing a retro version of it is a distinct possibility… much more appealing than our new one!
Four signings made this week by Celtic FC . I can’t wait for the daily Record’s negative , disparaging take on that ! If Celtic were to win the Champions League with 9 players on the pitch , that Kharsi roll would find something to report that was highly critical of the feat . When will the reality bite with the Celtic suits that the rag tabloid has anti Celtic features in its DNA ,coursing through its laptops and phones ?
