Gerry McCulloch went off message as he provided commentary on Celtic’s 1-1 draw with Wolves at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.

Te hoops were leading 1-0 going into the closing minutes when Matt Doherty raced onto a through ball wide of the Celtic goal.

As Joe Hart approached the Wolves sub stumbled then through his left leg towards the Celtic keeper before falling to the ground. It was a poor attempt at simulation but was bought by the home referee who seemed keen to assist the glamorous EPL guests of honour.

McCulloch normally crosses the road to avoid any form of controversy, especially when it involves Celtic’s city rivals but his pre-season slip wasn’t missed by viewers to Celtic TV.

Prior to his job with Celtic TV McCulloch worked for Radio Clyde which promoted the notion of the O** F*** at every turn with any callers discussing the events of 2012 quickly cut off.

Canny mind who the ref was that said it should be a red card for obvious diving, but I agree. Who can live with themselves knowing they’ve cheated like that?

    • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

Every Hun fan and Sevco players will live with themselves just fine Paddybhoy67 – The cheating is ingrained in them and their referee fanboys and it’s about to get worse that ever !

  • bertie basset says:

cantwell will add to tavpens goal tally this season with the bent in black only too happy to assist , divewell has perfected his honed diving skills knowing that the bent in black now accept it as a routine part of the game , the brazilian is now been put through the same training as we speak , sevco and its cabal in black have brought the game in scotland into disrepute and made it a laughing stock, of that there is no doubt

  • Joseph Mcaleer says:

Cantwell and Tavpen you can’t ask for a better double act, in the SPL it must be good for Rangers points tally.

    • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

They tried hard last season and it never quite worked but it might just this time around….

If FOUR penalties outta FOUR in pre season friendlies for Sevco ain’t a forewarning of what’s coming down the pipe, I don’t know what is !

  • John Copeland says:

The Record’s roving the Rangers scoop Mark Pirie was not too chuffed with the comment either ! He typed in for his bosses at the rag that he was not best pleased with Gerry McCullough telling the truth in his Cantwell commentary . Poor wee thing acted as if someone had popped his balloon with a pencil …. Awwww.

    • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

I’m just glad that I don’t know any one of the half-wits with crayons these days John – I think the last time I read that putrid publication a couple of decades ago and that guy Jackson was Traynor’s tea boy and lavvy cleaner back then…

All I can say is THANK GOD for social media and good Celtic blogs like this one !

It’ll be statement o clock tomorrow morning at ibrokes, with the powers that be there demanding Gerry be disciplined.Watch this space.

  • harold shand says:

Gerry’s got the laptop loyal fizzing this morning

    Ha ha .

Watch out for some regurgitated Kyogo dived stories coming soon

  • Bob (original) says:

Come on though: ANY player diving in a pre-season kickabout is simply

pathetic. These game are for players to display/confirm their footy abilities

to the manager: diving is just confirming that they are not good enough to help

win games within the rules. Sad.

But, Beale might be quietly pleased that – in the Scottish game anyway – he could

have a very productive partnership in ‘Cantendwell & TavPen’. 🙁

    • Scouse bhoy says:

He toaed the party line at the phone in he took the blue pound should be nowhere near celtic park
