Micky Beale is today celebrating the EIGHTH arrival of his summer REVOLUTION.

After admitting last season that he was working with a bloated squad the Ibrox boss has added to his first team options with just six players departing plus the crocked Filip Helander.

Beale could lose six or seven players without noticing but with no club prepared to match their Ibrox salaries it looks like John Lundstram, Kemar Roofe, Glen Kamara, Rabbi Matondo, Ben Davies, Ianis Hagi and Scott Wright will be hanging around for more pay days.

Rangers have finally landed Brazilian star Danilo from Feyenoord as Michael Beale captured his EIGHTH summer signing on a five-year deal.

And the striker says he’s already iu=n love with Rangers. The Light Blues were dogged in their pursuit of the 24-year-old from Sao Paulo, who started out his career in Europe at Feyenoord’s fierce rivals Ajax, and boss Beale got his man with the Dutch champions having held out for the fee they wanted for one of their key men en route to title glory last season.

Danilo joins a long lost of arrivals in what Beale predicted would be one of the biggest ever rebuilds in the club’s history. Kieran Dowell, Dujon Sterling, Sam Lammers, Cyriel Dessers, Leon Balogun, Abdallah Sima and goalkeeper Jack Butland have all arrived through the front doors of Ibrox so far. Rangers confirmed Danilo’s arrival on the club website.

And the player said: “I’m super happy. I can’t wait to start playing at Ibrox in front of the supporters. I am so in love already with the club and I’m excited to be part of the Rangers team. It’s time to get to work and I hope that I can repay the love that they have shown to me.”

Feyenoord signed Danilo as a free agent last summer with a fee of over £5m picked up for someone that last started a first team match in March.

Respected Dutch journalist Marcel van der Kraan reported:

ROTTERDAM – Danilo can earn 45,000 euros a week at the Scottish Rangers, which is more than double his current salary at Feyenoord. That explains why the 24-year-old striker is eager to move to the Scottish top club. And that departure will almost certainly come this Monday.

Rangers made a ‘take it or leave it’ offer on Sunday afternoon, which goes towards seven million euros. It is the last attempt by the Scots to incorporate Danilo and it could well succeed, because Feyenoord has interesting players in other positions and also thinks it can fill the striker position behind Santiago Gimenez.

That salary will put the striker just behind Lundstram and Roofe in the Ibrox pay scale but their deals run out next year while Danilo is minted through until June 2028.

Danilo has been allocated the number 99 on his shirt ! So there we have it before a ball is kicked … He’s a flake !

    • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

Or a balloon John – And a 99 red (white and blue) balloon at that and there are thousands of them in Scotland unfortunately !

  • TicToc says:

Ha!Ha!Ha! Dutch journalist (probably an OB) says: “It is the last attempt by the Scots to incorporate Danilo and it…….” Ha!Ha!Ha!
The last time they (or rather their bastard parent) “incorporated” something, in 1899, it ended up a train-wreck, died in 2012 and has been turned into the gift that just keeps giving for the last 11 (yes eleven) years.
What a laugh you’ve been, Sevco! Now fukk off!

  • Davie says:

A fringe player costing over £5 million, signed for free by Feyenoord, sold for massive profit a year later with hardly kicking a ball.
I think The Rangers have been conned, the players who left were better than new signings.
Send for the polis and put the Rangers board in straight jackets.

    • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

It’s usually The Sevco doing the conning Davie – And it’s usually their Guillibilly fans that they con thankfully…

I’d say they con referees like with Cantwell diving – but the refs will give the penalty anyway to their beloved new club so that’s a moot point really !
