With just over two weeks to go until the start of the SPFL season Micky Beale has had a second bid for Feyenoord striker Danilo rejected.

So far fees have been paid for Sam Lammers and Cyriel Dessers but the remaining sign ups for the Revolution consists of four free agents and one loan deal.

Danilo is clearly of a higher quality than Lammers and Dessers who were playing for clubs relegated from Serie A last season but not even the persuasive patter of Beale can get the Dutch champions to sell their Brazilian striker on the cheap.

Last night the favoured Ibrox messengers were pushing the line of Danilo pleading with Feyenoord to allow him to get his dream move but unless the cash is on the table Beale will need to fink about looking elsewhere.

Picking up on a report from Holland, Football Scotland admits:

Feyenoord have rejected Rangers bid to sign Danilo with the £5.2million offer not being considered by the Dutch club, according to a report.

And Feyenoord general manager Dennis te Kloese insists the Brazilian remains an important player for the club and won’t be sold unless a bigger offer comes onto the table with Danilo still having three years left on his contract at De Kuip. The Ibrox side are keen to sign the 24-year-old and offered what they feel is big money for him, but the Dutch giants aren’t keen on selling him for that price.

Dutch outlet AD say the bid has been rejected and Te Kloese has insisted they won’t even consider the offer made by Rangers as they try to keep Danilo for as long as possible. That’s despite the striker being keen on a move to Ibrox and he’s believed to have told Arne Slot he wants to move to Glasgow.

There are many ways to structure a £5.2m bid which could be as low as £1.5m up front with that fee dependent on various levels of success.

On August 8/9 and 15 Beale faces two Champions League qualifiers with the Third Round draw taking place on Monday. Racing Genk and Sturm Graz are two of the four possible opponents, if successful the Play Off opponents are expected to be from PSV Eindhoven, Marseille or Sporting Braga.

They are still more active in the transfer market than us,be careful what we laugh at.
As I said Rodgers and LIEWELL are at each others throats again regarding transfer fees and money.

If Danilo is so desperate to join sevco,

then all he has to do is slap in a transfer request – in writing –

and he would happily ‘surrender’ his transfer cut?

    Aye right!

Think Ibrox PR will be managing a face-saving retreat on Danilo – by spinning it

as though Feyenoord was unreasonable, greedy, a sevco hater,, etc.

Danilo ‘could’ have been a player to get the bears excited – and he’s Brazilian!

    Oh well.

Back to the rummaging around the bargain buckets for Beale… 🙂

I see Forrest from the Celtic blog is mouthing off again about how much money we have in the bank and how we can spend more than sevco if we want.
Funny that because right now I only see sevco spending money and our club planking the biscuit tin.
Forrest should be careful what he is writing as there is a strong possibility that it will come back to bite him in the arse with his gloating.
Maybe he should come back and just write something positive about our club when serious money has been been spent, not just rumours about being linked with big money signings, and actual £10 million+ signing.

I think the Lodges have had a whip round…

They could be trying to unsettle him in an underhand way but if he’s not interested then it won’t matter…

I doubt he will be reading The Daily Retard / Retched / Rancid or any of the rest of whatever illiterate man’s rags are available in not so Bonnie scotland – so he probably will only then know the truth and that’s that Rangers died and are back as Sevco !

5.2 million is that in installments over 20 years ? ?
