Every year thousands of visitors take a tour of Celtic Park, for football fans and others it is a favoured destination when they visit Glasgow.
Official tours weren’t a thing back in 1993 but for Steve Blair on a trip back home a visit to Celtic Park was essential along with his buddy from Melbourne, Ange Postecoglou.
With his chinos and denim shirt, then in his late twenties, Postecoglou visited Celtic Park where he was pictured holding the European Cup with his mate Blair.
Neither could have guessed how events would work out in the summer of 2021 via the World Cup Finals in Brazil and a stint in the J-League with Yokohama F Marinos.
Previously unseen pictures of Ange Postecoglou at Celtic Park emerge – from THIRTY YEARS AGOhttps://t.co/NcykH2UKiY

The picture appears in a book about to be published called ‘Ange Postecoglou: The man, the mastery and his methods.
The Scottish market for that book won’t be quite what it could have been had it been launched last Christmas or in the spring of 2023.
A little of the appeal has been diminished but Postecoglou’s mark in Celtic’s history is significant even though some of the memories are tarnished by his abrupt move to Spurs.
That was after delivering a Treble, five domestic trophies out of six and leaving his mark on a generation of Celtic supporters.
The Spurs chapter is now underway with a match against West Ham in Perth.
Who cares?
