Last week Viaplay Sport announced that they were pulling out of UK broadcasting which covers the League Cup run by the SPFL and the Scottish Cup from the SFA.

Yesterday the Scandinavian broadcaster announced that they will be showing Celtic’s friendly against Wolves from Dublin on Saturday.

It seems a strange move but with a large number of UK subscribers the last thing that Viaplay want is to have to repay money that they have already collected.

Since announcing that they are pulling out of UK broadcasting Viaplay have continued to show Viaplay Cup ties with tonight’s match between Falkirk and Dundee United being screened as planned.

Viaplay also have the contract for Scotland international matches, at the weekend they were promoting coverage of the autumn internationals against Cyprus, Spain and France.

Their next date of interest for Celtic supporters will be August 20/21 when Viaplay will the first knock-out stage of the League/Viaplay Cup, last season, then under Premier Sports Celtic’s 4-1 win away to Ross County was shown live.

And the Sevco Guillibears will believe every word Scud and keep these awful publications on their life support machines a little longer…

Tragically there are still some Celtic fans buying it – I caught a guy in The Hoops doing it the other day in Fort William on a booze up –

Why do Celtic ‘fans’ support these organisations… I will never ever understand the mentality of it all !
