Rocco Vata’s future remains uncertain with around 60 hours left in the transfer window.
The 18-year-old has been the outstanding player in Celtic’s underwhelming B team which has picked up seven points from seven matches in the Lowland League.
Vata has scored in each of the last three matches- defeats away from home to Civil Service Strollers, Berwick Rangers and East Kilbride.
Unfortunately with his contract running until May there has been a stand off with the teenager looking to move up a level with Celtic not prepared to let him go out on loan without extending his contract.
UPDATE: Celtic forward Rocco Vata wants to consider his options to leave in this window and does not want to open contract negotiations at this stage.
Celtic don’t want to sell the 18yo, who was told in the summer that his first team opportunities would be limited this season. https://t.co/BnNSrAtZpU

Various foreign clubs have been linked with Vata but they may be unwilling to commit to a transfer fee with conditions for someone who only has two seasons experience in the Lowland League on his CV.
If no agreement or transfer can be agreed Vata will have the UEFA Youth League to impress in before Christmas.
Too good for the Lowland league, but no good enough for the first team…I suspect wherever Vata goes will prove the same. Unless he goes to a lower league outfit he won’t get game time at top flight.
Clearly thinks he is better than he actually is, possible his dad pushing his name across agents in Europe. Will doubtless join others who thought similar Dembele, Feruz both had more talent and both vanished from the scene.
Editor: Easy to blame players and parents but other than Tony Ralston’s incredible route to the first team why has no-one came through the ranks since KT in 2015? It looks like St Ninian’s and the Academy are failing miserably.
Scottish Bhoys are not getting the support they need to make the First Team!
They could be getting used as substitutes in first – team matches to give them the experience they need. Instead they are being told that they have no future.
