After appearing dead in the water at tea-time yesterday Nicolo Schira is reporting that Celtic are close to the signing of Mathias Kvistgaarden.
Reports yesterday claimed that Brondby had turned down two offers for their striker but Schira, with over 300,000 Twitter followers claims that a deal is getting closer.
An Italian based transfer specialist has no obvious interest in a deal involving clubs in Denmark and Scotland unless he has found out from very trusted sources.
Mathias #Kvistgaarden is getting closer to #Celtic from #Brondby for €4,5M. Ready a long term contract for the forward. #transfers

Kvistgaarden, aged 21, joined Brondby from Lyngby in 2019 and has been linked with Celtic over the last couple of weeks.
With Oh Hyeon-gyu out injured Kyogo Furuhashi has been the only striker available to Brendan Rodgers over the last three matches with Daizen Maeda the other option.
A fee in the region of £4m fits in with the recent Celtic model as Mark Lawwell provides Brendan Rodgers with the players to build on last season’s treble success.
There won’t be three trophies this season but some sort of progress in Europe would make up for an early Viaplay Cup defeat from Kilmarnock.

UPDATE: After making initial enquiries, it’s looking unlikely that Celtic will pursue Brondby forward Mathias Kvistgaarden further in this window.
They’d like to strengthen CF options but it is not a position of priority at the moment.
Luis Palma can also play in this position. https://t.co/qrVxBzCw2P

Celtic should have strengthened their Far – east ties when Ange was at the Club.
We could be buying their £1.5 M players instead of £4 M players from Scandinavia!
