Rabbi Matondo, Ben Davies, Kemar Roofe and Tom Lawrence remain banished from Micky Beale’s Champions League squad.

UEFA require clubs to include four players from their own academy and four from the national association otherwise the 25 man squad has to be reduced.

Robbie McCrorie (25) and fellow goalkeeper Keiran Wright (24) are included as a club developed players with Ryan Jack, John Souttar and Scott Wright the SFA produced players in the squad to face PSV Eindhoven for a place in the group stage of the competition.

Matondo was being talked up as a game-changer after his performance off the bench against Livingston, on Saturday he was in from the start against Morton but won’t be involved against PSV unless Beale drops someone from his squad with 11pm tonight the deadline for changes.

A year ago Davies was getting the ‘former Liverpool star’ billing but is now behind Leon Balogun for a game with no sign of any English Championship side prepared to match his Ibrox wages and pay a transfer fee.

Glen Kamara was allowed to train with the first team last week but like Roofe he’ll be spectating against PSV just 15 months on from playing in the final of the Europa League.

Jon McLaughlin who started last season’s Champions League campaign away to Ajax is still on the wage bill and is also out of the UEFA squad.

    Teasing aside – just briefly.

IF Beale gets past PSV to the Group Stage, I will totally reassess my opinion of his

    coaching and management abilities.

Haven’t watched any PSV games so far, but plenty of sevco.

On paper anyway, PSV should stroll it.

…just as we should have strolled it against Killie yesterday. 🙁

I really should hope for every Scottish team to do well in Europe Bob (original) but not them (Sevco) – Besides they don’t see themselves as Scottish any and their fans appear to hate all things Scottish but anyway…

If by some miraculous reason they actually did prevail to the groups their board would spend every last red cent on strengthening the playing squad –

I know that we have thankfully swept the ‘boards’ since Rangers died and Sevco were born but they are sneaking closer and I’ll give them one bit of credit…

Their board love their club 100% plus plus more than our one love our club !
