Injection- Anthony Joseph’s surprise Celtic verdict

Anthony Joseph thinks that Celtic are in need of an injection following their 1-0 Viaplay Cup defeat at Kilmarnock.

It was a strange choice of words, presumably a reference to bringing in new players with the Sky Sports reporter rarely passing on his opinion, preferring to cover the news beat.

There were two debutants in the Celtic side, Odin Thiago Holm and Gustaf Lagerbielke but the side was barely recognisable from the one that handed out 5-0 and 4-1 home defeats to Kilmarnock last season.

With 10 days left in the transfer window Celtic will need to step up their activities if they are to get any significant business completed before the end of this month.

There should be no lack of funds after selling Jota and Carl Starfelt but for whatever reasons it looks like, as in January Celtic are heading for a transfer window surplus.

Brendan Rodgers said after the match that he is hopeful of further transfer business, it is unlikely that there will be any further comments from the manager until he previews Saturday’s match at home to St Johnstone.

Yep regards that we were poor on that ” ice rink” disgrace of a place we still should be referred like other other club but we ain’t as we known for decades! And var is even making it more obvious!!

From stop adding time on if we were winning by 4 or more goals to any ball hitting a Celtic player arm penalty given every time tho at the hellhole same rules but never given! Not interested in this bs line ” we should have enough anyway”

No no and no there are fine margins here and these cheats use any against out club ! 1. Player assualts Taylor then set up ” offside goal” which it is under the var directive ! But not in Brigadoon Scotland! ( well only when Celtic are involved) Then hacks has his leg taken with an illegal tackle which it is as in tackle from behind been illegal for over a decade! But still after var no penalty!!That is plain and utter cheating and we should be calling this out every time!! Forget we were p##h or it’s cause McInnes complained before the game!!

God give us strength !!that line is utter bs!! Get this sorted Celtic! Everyone saw it was cheating and don’t let the MSM squeal sour grapes! Sort it now!

I’ve said it before Lawell is back in the building, I’d be surprised if any significant inward transfer business is done , typical Celtic no ambition just try and stay one step ahead of the tribute act, well they are pish but honestly are we any better at the moment.

They had an off day, it happens. Unfortunately, it also put us out the cup. I agree those plastic pitches need to go but not using that as an excuse either. We do need a few more players and all the players still need to bed into the Rodgers way of playing. After a few hiccups under angeball we settled down and never looked back, winning a double in the process. Here’s hoping this is the case for this year.

  • Eldraco says:

Pretty simple, we were shite and it’s deliberate early on in the season by the gaffer to stamp his will on the type of player He wants.

    End of.

Two loans on deadline day will be the only business we will do before the window closes. How many times have we seen this movie?.The bottom line is king to the suits upstairs.
