The Sun is tipping Celtic to sign Paolo Bernardo and Nat Phillips with at least two more signings to arrive before the transfer window closes at midnight on Friday.

It took Celtic 10 days to add to the squad that lost to Kilmarnock in the League Cup with Luis Palma signing a five year deal yesterday following his move from ARIS Thessalonika.

Moves for Bernardo and Phillips appear to be well underway with the club’s Recruitment Team working round the clock to bring in even more new signings.

This morning The Sun reports:

PAULO BERNARDO will jet into Glasgow today and clinch his move to Celtic.

The Benfica winger is poised to secure his move to the Hoops after Brendan Rodgers agreed a deal to land the 21-year-old.

Bernardo will join on an initial loan deal with the Hoops having an option to buy at the end of it –  just as they did when signing Jota two years ago.

The attacker will put the finishing touches to his deal over the next 24 hours and could face Rangers on Sunday if his paperwork is completed in time.

Celtic have already added Honduran winger Luis Palma to their squad, with Liverpool’s Nat Phillips on his way too.

Bernardo will take this week’s additions to three – and Rodgers is seeking at least two more before tomorrow night’s deadline.

It seems that there is some dubiety about Beranardo’s position with that report describing him as a winger and forward. The first reports of interest from Celtic claimed that he was a midfielder.

With no names being mentioned beyond Phillips and Bernardo it seems that Celtic are keeping discreet on their transfer plans with little detail getting out about transfer activities.

With the exception of Palma and Phillips news about Celtic transfer deals has all emerged from foreign sources such as the deals for Maik Nawrocki and Gustaf Lagerbielke.
