Celtic have finally announced loan deals for Tobi Oluwayemi and Matthew Anderson to join Admira Wacker.

Both players were with the Celtic first team squad in the Algarve at the start of July but never moved on to Japan for the first of two pre-season friendlies.

There has been talk of a formal partnership between Celtic and Admira but today’s announcement is only for the loan of two players.

Admira sports director Peter Stoger told his club’s website:

We’re proud that a prestigious club like Celtic entrusts us with these players to help them develop. It shows that we are on the right track with our philosophy. These are two young and very exciting guys. The two have already gained experience in various British youth national teams and will definitely help us further.

Oluwayemi is an England u-19 internationalist with Anderson also capped by Scotland upto that level.

Last season both were regulars in the Celtic B team playing in the Lowland League with Oluwayemi also going out on loan to Cork City for a short spell.

Admira were relegated last season to the Second Division but are now sitting in third place with 10 points from five matches, two places behind leaders St Pollen.

Ben Summers and Ben McPherson recently went out on loan to Queens Park and Dunfermline.

Joe, that’s a dreadful piece of ‘clickbaitery’ when we’re all gasping for some good news!

Editor: It is a double deal that has taken a helluva long time to complete. If you have an expectation of two first team signings it could be a long wait now that the Double Act of Lawwell & Lawwell are calling the shots. We managed three in the last day of the summer 2021 window, the former CEO would have freaked at a manager pulling a stunt like that. Dom was soon shown the error of his ways.

Joe, I fear that’s true, pathetic and sad really.
How do we oust the Lawwells when they’re Dirty Desmond’s choice?

Good to see a range of options for youth development being tried- worthwhile news that few other blogs covered.

Click baiting. Given the timing hang your head in shame. Not surprising from this site, desperate for a comment.

Get real! Celtic work to a template or an algorithm from another Club, who’s goal is to sell players on and make a profit.
We saw it with Tierney and more recently with Jota.
We are desperate for a central defender and prepared to buy a third one in this window but we will let Oluwayemi go at the same time!
We all need a goalie yet we let Hazard go in this window!
It seems that home grown talent are prejudiced against because they are home-grown!
Those two would be playing against inferior opposition every week and would soon find their feet. But they are sold or loaned out.
We appear to have two rather large cuckoos in the nest and their names begin with P and D!
