Ismaila Soro is reportedly close to terminating his Celtic contract.
The midfielder spent last season out on loan at Portuguese side Arouca but they haven’t followed that spell up with the offer of a permanent move.
After a burst of appearances during the Lockdown season Ange Postecoglou eased Soro aside as he concentrated on strengthening his midfield.
Brendan Rodgers hasn’t offered the Ivorian a route back into his first team plans with a deal being discussed on the final 10 months of his Celtic contract.

Beitar Jerusalem are confident of sealing a deal for Celtic misfit Ismaila Soro this week after their manager promised three new signings.
Soro is in talks with Celtic to mutually terminate his contract which still has a year to go after being frozen out under his last two managers, Brendan Rodgers and Ange Postecoglou. And the Israeli side are increasingly confident they will finally land the Ivory Coast midfielder after trying for over a month now, following their opening league game defeat to Hapoel Haifa.
Soro’s signing in January 2020 was to give Celtic a boost going into the second half of the season after they had lost the Glasgow Derby to Steven Gerrard’s side in the final match of 2019.
With Leigh Griffiths back in favour Lennon went with a 3-5-2 formation that didn’t involve Soro before the season was ended in early March.
