There are ominous signs coming out of Celtic Park with Chris Sutton well aware of the symptoms.

Whether it is the slow car crash of 2018/19 that led to Brendan Rodgers upping sticks for Leicester or the 20/21 implosion there are many parallels.

On it’s own a draw with St Johnstone, defeat at Kilmarnock or slow moving transfer window are nothing to get concerned over- when all three come together it only leads to trouble.

This time around there is an added Recruitment issue for Rodgers to deal with, as he recently admitted his job his to coach the players provided by the club.

A week on from losing at Kilmarnock there has been no additions to the Celtic squad, there are now less than five working days left in this transfer window.

When the window closes the pressure ranks up with a trip to Ibrox quickly followed by the Champions League draw with six unforgiving fixtures.

I take it the training methods have been checked out and are not the problem…and also the sport scientists know what they’re doing..??….Well something is wrong somewhere…and needs sorted….The amount of soft tissue injuries are unacceptable….Get it sorted Celtic.

ALL ticket holders are been taken for mugs put a stop to us being a selling club it only fills the the pockets of the board meanwhile we’re left watching a load of youngsters no better than junior league and if one or two make the grade we as fans don’t get the benefit because they’re gone in no time bring back the Passion and the Pride

Editor: This week Season Ticket holders can decided whether they want to stick £120 into the Balance Sheet for the dubious pleasure of three Champions League lessons.

Part of the reason I gave up my 22 year old season ticket…The Board are not fit for purpose.

The root of the now very real problem at Celtic is that Peter Lawwell has no track record of Executive positions in Football – outside of Celtic!

His cv shows he has worked professionally as an Accountant and held Executive positions in Port Authorities, Healthcare, ICI, Power and Mining. Nothing out of that would have prepared him for an Executive’s job in Football, at Celtic!

He is simply out of his depth for experience in a sport where the politics of the West of Scotland are played out weekly on the terraces of Scotland’s Football Clubs!

Desmond picked him for the post of Chief Executive Director based on aesthetics, tidy suit and tie and not on work experience. And that is much the same way that Lawwell appoints successive Celtic Club Managers.

There appears to be no in-depth understanding of the needs of the position at any given point in time, nor indeed for the credentials of the candidate who is likely to succeed in the post!

It could be that candidates for both these positions are presently not available and that may be an excuse that Lawwell or Desmond is willing to use.

But the truth is that the Board do not want change because it involves risk! And they simply do not have the knowledge, experience or personnel aboard to be able to handle it!
