As the tweet says- a picture says a thousand words.

Referee Alan Muir seemed genuinely elated for Derek McInnes after his side beat Celtic while his assistant looks fascinated by the handshake between the two men.

McInnes had performed his job to the maximum in the dug-out but the same couldn’t be said for Muir who was backed in his every decision by Don Robertson in the VAR room.

All the usual 50-50 decisions went in favour of the home side almost as if Muir was trying to make the match as even a contest as possible for the Viaplay Sports cameras.

In the 56th minute came the first significant, or match-changing decision. Daniel Armstrong arrived late to foul Greg Taylor and followed up by smashing his elbow into the side of his opponents head.

Muir decided not to produce any card when it was a clear sending off. As Taylor received treatment Robertson could have reviewed the incident but there was no suggestion of that to the television viewers.

With Taylor off the pitch rather than Armstrong Kilmarnock put the ball in the net. After a short delay VAR approved the goal then briefly showed a fizzy image with a broken blue line that had been used to justify the decision. The shoulder of goalscorer Marley Watkins is seen on the wrong side of the line, the Viaplay Sports commentary team derided not to comment.

Finally, deep into stoppage time a tired challenge from Lewis Mayo sent Sead Haksabanovic to the ground, regularly penalties are given in those situations.

Once again Muir and Robertson were in complete agreement, the VAR review as conveyed by Viaplay’s commentary team took less than a minute, the referee wasn’t asked to review it on the monitor.

UEFA have provided French officials for tonight’s Champions League Play Off at Ibrox.

If the player “dived” why did Don Robertson grade 1 referee “not” bring it to the attention of the on field grade 1 referee Alan Muir for “simulation” could that be because it wasn’t a dive or simulation…..it should have been a penalty….I wonder if the cheats at the SFA/SPFL will ask the cheats they ask to administer the rules of the game….why this didn’t happen

It looks like the ‘grip ‘ is wel l and truly still functioning strongly here in Scawlin ! MC Innes was screaming all week long about the injustices of a game from last season and how the feeling still was was with him ! Last fricking season ! I keep saying it that until a person from within the game with clout stands up and tells the whole world about the incompetence and other factors from Scottish officials ,then the sweet smiles and handshakes between refs and certain managers will continue and grow in hospitality … Don’t forget ,that it’s the entire other clubs in the whole country suffering a disservice by this ‘ friendliness ‘ so get your acts together and unite in outrage ….NOW !

  • Scud Missile says:

Lol at all the BITCHING going on about the refs, I don’t blame McInnes or the refs for DODGY DECISIONS and DODGY HANDSHAKES,we should be embarrassed that we are screaming for penalties against Killie to get back into a game that we had never been in.
Groundhog Day again we ain’t winning Jackshit this season just like the season we blew 10 in a row and look who was in charge of the kitty that season Mr McVittie himself and he is back.
So the CHEATING will continue for the foreseeable future but it’s the fans I blame who will still sell out the home games every second week and the champions league games as well,so KERCHING to that.
So keep buying those season books and champions league tickets your all actually encouraging the CHEATING and your all more to blame than any officials or any other managers.
Oh we are actually going backwards compared to last season, but not to worry because Mr McVittie is laughing all the way to the bank with YOUR CASH all £3.4 million a year of it.

    • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

I do hear you Scud and indeed took the decision to stop paying through the turnstiles to see Celtic after the board sain NOTHING after Doncaster said “Rangers* are the same club absolutely”

*(Rangers being his words and absolutely not mine)*

At least Regan of The SFA when asked the same question said “That’ll be one that will be argued over in the pub until the end of time” – slightly better than Doncaster…

But rules are rules and while we didn’t play well on the plastic pitch on the day we were robbed by a cheat with a whistle aided and abetted by another with a monitor and I respectfully disagree and take a different tack that we should have been screaming from the heavens about this…

Ok after the defeat at Kilmarnock of course it would be seen as sour grapes even though it’s not…
But the time to do it was the day after we won the treble and highlight all the preposterous decisions against us last season – and there were many !

We got away with it last season – we might not this season – and that’s the treble gone already…

We will reap what we have sewn from these seeds of silence from our cowardice and spineless board…

Sevco will wash these ‘nice guys’ away like the snow and the rain !

  • harold shand says:

Watch out for how many times he’s an official in their games from now on this season

and when he’s in the VAR hut for matches for us and matches for them

  • Tam says:

Don’t call out refereeing bias or bias officials running the Scottish football game. Bankrupt our club….will that make you happy scud…NO…. you will move on to someone/something else and hope that someone has a different opinion

    • Scud Missile says:

Tam all I’m doing is speaking the truth look at my post and tell me the line in it that I’m lying,it’s the TRUTH and the TRUTH hurts some people just can’t accept.
As I said a full stadium at Parkhead for every game so the board don’t see that anything is broken so why fix it.
Roll up roll up and give Mr McVittie and the rest on that CHISLING board your hard earned cash as they will be laughing all the way to the bank.
Oh another thing to think we laugh at sevco for their board being full of CHISLERS and CONMEN but at least the CHISLERS and CONMEN at ibrox stick up for their fans,as for ours they SHITE all over us.

    • Terence Nova says:

What’s your solution thenTam…??…Our Board will do nothing…I gave up my long held seat in protest at our Club’s cowardice…So to repeat….What are you going to do…??

  • Kevin lee says:

We’ve already lost the treble and the board don’t care so hit them in the pocket player’s are being assaulted every week and the board and manager dont want to rock the boat so the players themselves must take action Taylor was lucky not to have been hit in the temple with that elbow and god forbid could have died so the next time a player IS assaulted they should immediately stop playing and walk off the pitch in protest This action will incur fines or points deducted but it will hurt the board in the pocket How much is a player’s life worth? to this board by staying silent

  • Tam says:

There’s a consequence to what is being advocated here (don’t turn up) two things can happen at the same time.. The board does what you want AND the budget for players is reduced….I don’t want the budget reduced…..we could encourage fellow CELTIC supporters to write, email, text, all at the same time with our concerns

    • Scud Missile says:

Oh dear Tam just what planet are you on mate last seasons money made and this seasons as well will be close to £200 million so tell us how much of that has gone on players, proper players not nickel&dime dross.

  • Tam says:

If what I said doesn’t work we gave them every opportunity…we do as you say ….hold back our money… but remember it will hurt the whole club… not….. Just the board

  • John Merrigan says:

My mate a big blue nose, fair minded worked for the Sfa and I pointed out various honest mistakes to him and that it was blatant cheating, he replied that he had been told by his peers that it went on years ago but it was not like that now, I replied the handshake crew will always yeild power at the Sfa, when promotion came up he was overlooked 3 times, he since left and I am sure it goes through his mind, did I give the wrong handshake before the interviews.
