Micky Beale has publicly humiliated the players that he is relying on to save his job.

A 1-0 win over Motherwell lifted the Ibrox side into third place but another laboured performance that saw the visitors finish the match pushing for an equaliser was greeted by derision from the angry bears.

After losing 5-1 to PSV Eindhoven and at home to Celtic there was an incredible backlash against Beale with his signings, tactics and substitutions heavily criticised as fans discovered that on his own the Brains Behind Gerrard can’t cut it going solo.

With money tight and no obvious successor Beale has survived in the job with today’s match his third win in nine days.

That didn’t impress the home supporters who counted the minutes down in the second half as Motherwell pushed strongly for a goal in front of an increasingly anxious crowd inside Ibrox.

Once again the players were booed and jeered at the final whistle, after the match they discovered that their manager has joined in with the criticism.

Horrible performance. Didn’t enjoy the game and I don’t think the players enjoyed the game. I don’t think anyone watching and supporting us enjoyed the game.

We started the game poorly. Lots of sloppy individual errors. We lose another player to an injury in a match which is deeply unfortunate but our quality with the ball wasn’t good enough. It’s a win, and a clean sheet that’s the only positives I can take from it.

But that performance is below what is required at this football club. The players know it, I know it and we have a game again in three days. It’s quarter final and we have to be better than that. The players level is higher than that.

Beale is wholly dependent on those players to retain his job, if they feel that they are being criticised to deflect from the failings of the manager then many of them could soon be playing under their fourth manager in 24 months.

Soon afterwards Beale was even more critical when he held his all-in media conference.

Pleeeeeeze Livvy – Knock them outta The League Cup in midweek !

    But then it’s Martindale that’s managing them…

There again he knows that a big result at Liebrox could see him in Beals hot seat !

Ach, wee Davie has been in hotter seats than that….. the one in the High Court for a start!

You are never supposed to interupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.but here goes. What the hell are the Sevco fans wanting? The beat Real Betis and today they managed three points. Confidence is everything in football and they are going out their way, along with the media, to shatter the player’s.
The Real Rangers used to have a player called Ted McMin ( The Tin Man) of whom his manager said “how can the opposition deal with him when even Ted doesn’t know what he is going to do?”
Sevco are a bit like that and the opposition would like a normal system so they could counter it. So far their schoolboy tactics are winning, unfortunately.

Well, if Beale hadn’t already lost the dressing room after the derby game,

he just might have achieved it with those critcisms.

The sevco players are mince – but they’re his players.

Beale might earn respect for – sometimes- taking all the blame and flak,

just to give his players a break.

Might find that EVEN MORE of his squad develop injuries now…?

    Silly boy! 🙂
