Duncan Ferguson is expecting to bring some Celtic players in on loan to Inverness Caley Thistle.

The former Everton striker took charge of the Championship side yesterday with his transfer options limited.

Inverness can still bring in players on loan with Ben Summers and Ben McPherson already playing in the Championship.

Celtic are involved in the UEFA Youth League and Premier League International Cup but getting involved in the sharp end of competitive football is an attractive option.

The Herald reports Ferguson saying:

Yes, we can get players out of the Scottish Premiership, can’t we, and we can get some boys who are out of Warnock.

I have already been on to one or two of the Scottish managers. I spoke to Brendan [Rodgers] this morning, so he is going to help me out hopefully. So we look and see if we can identify some players and we will take it from there.

Adam Brooks joined Caley Thistle during the close season but has only started one Championship match with three other appearances off the bench.

One point from their first five matches led to the sacking of Billy Dodds with Caretaker John Robertson losing at home to Dundee United.

Although they are bottom of the table a Play Off place is only 10 points away but after his stint in charge of Forest Green Rovers Ferguson has a lot to prove in management.

Hope his behaviour has improved. He is not exactly a role model.
