Liel Abada has explained his injury position on Instagram.
News broke late on Friday morning that the winger was facing an extended lay-off after picking up an injury during training with the Israel international side.
That led to an early return to Celtic Park, a scan revealed that a torn thigh muscle meant he would be out of action for three to four months which writes off the Champions League group matches.
While it is a major set-back for Celtic and Brendan Rodgers it is a crushing blow for a 21-year-old who sampled the elite competition for the first time last season when he got to face top opponents from Spain and Germany.
Watching your team mates prepare for more of that knowing that a training ground injury rules you out will be difficult for Abada to take in.

Abada wrote:
Unfortunately, I have just received the news that my injury will keep me out of the game for a longer period than expected.
I am beginning rehabilitation and will work hard to come back fitter and stronger as fast I could so I can give my all to help the team achieve our targets
Two more international breaks does slightly lessen the impact of Abada’s injury with eight SPFL Premiership matches crammed in to December plus the January 2 match away to St Mirren.
Celtic do have other wide options but none that have been as influential and effective as Abada over the last two seasons.
Hope Israel are forced to meet the cost of every penny of his wages until he makes a first team appearance once again…
