Liel Abada will miss six Celtic matches is a report on his muscle injury is correct.

Early on Friday evening news emerged that the winger had been injured in training ahead of Israel’s European Championship qualifier against Romania.

Today it is being reported that Abada is making an early return to Lennoxtown where the injury will be assessed by Celtic’s medical team.

The Sun reports:

And it’s feared that he will miss a MONTH in all – with the player thought to be ‘angry with himself’ after the problem flared up in the final seconds of the international team’s training – during a voluntary part of their final session.

Israeli outlet Sport5 says: “The 21-year-old seems to be angry mainly with himself, because he chose to continue kicking at the end of the training even though it was a permission and not an obligation.”

The six match run before the October international break includes Champions League ties against Feyenoord and Lazio.

With Jota sold in the summer and Sead Haksabanovic on loan at Stoke City it looks like Brendan Rodgers will start the Champions League campaign without three of the four first choice wingers from last season.

Abada’s absence will see an increase in playing time for Yang hyun-jun and Luis Palma with similar issues in central defence where Gustaf Lagerbielke, Liam Scales and Nat Phillips will be the options for the first two ties.

If you really need ‘to pick up an injury’ in your life, go to Celtic FC where you can ‘pick one up’ for free! They have a trove called Lennoxtown where these fukkin things are lying around all over the place, just waiting……..but FFS DO NOT pick one up!
Of course, “international duty” is another free source…..refer to last line above.
