Brendan Rodgers has told Sky Sports that there could be more than one Celtic signing before the Transfer Window closes tonight.

This week Luis Palma and Nat Phillips (on loan) have been brought in with the manager making it clear in recent weeks that his side needs strengthened.

The loss of Jota, Aaron Mooy and Carl Starfelt combined with injuries to Cameron Carter-Vickers and Reo Hatate has hit hard with Celtic failing to score in each of their last two matches.

With trips to Ibrox and Livingston coming this month as well as the start of the Champions League September will be very testing with just a couple of hours left to add to the squad.

Sky Sports: How many can Celtic fans expect, Paolo Bernardo for instance, is that one that’s close?

Brendan Rodgers: Well there’s a number of players that we have still to confirm to come in so there’s obviously areas that we want to improve. We’ve been able to do that so, yeah, we’ll just see how the rest of the window looks. There’s still more confirmation for players still to come in.

Sky Sports: There still could be more than one by midnight tonight?

BR: Could be, yeah

Multiple reports claim that Paolo Bernardo is close to completing a loan deal from Benfica but beyond that there has been no other names mentioned as being in talks to move to Celtic.

Unless negotiations are at a very advanced stage any more deals are likely to be on loan as circumstances change on Deadline Day.

Too right Robert we will once again be Europe’s whipping boys, this team is worse than the teams under Ange and Brendan that took hammerings in Europe, this does not auger well, blame the biscuit tin board and Rodgers for agreeing to be manager again under Pete and mark liewell, Desmond’s yes men,a boycott is required at some stage to make this board listen,it’s the only thing they take heed of.

Off topic but Morelos’ struggle to get a club “due to an aggresive attitude” is probably something he developed at Ibrox. Cantwell is going down that route and I believe even the management have had a word with him about it.
The players are terrified of the support and have to appear to be aggresive and as Dessers just stated, “willing to die for the club” against Celtic.
    It’s really quite pathetic.
