With less than a week to go until the Champions League match at home to Atletico Madrid the Green Brigade has released a powerful video to back up their Fly the Flag campaign.

Back in 2016 Celtic were hit with an £8,600 fine from UEFA after thousands of fans took the Palestine flag to a Champions League qualifier at home to Hapoel Be’er Sheva.

The publicity from that fine helped raise more than £100,000 which was donated to Palestine charities including a football club Aida Celtic.

Explosions can be seen close to the Aida ground where the video was made.

DON’T BE SILENT ABOUT GENOCIDE AND COLONIOLISM

In midweek there were claims that the Celtic board were planning to cancel tickets for the section of the ground used by the Green Brigade but that claim hasn’t been confirmed.

With their conservative approach to everything the Celtic board are in a very difficult position, taking action against the Green Brigade will only highlight the issue that they would rather not have to deal with.

Following the 3-1 win over Kilmarnock in the SPFL Celtic released a statement claiming that they are not a political organisation, at almost every home match The Fields of Athenry and Grace are played, two songs rooted in Irish political history.

There is a reason why Celtic is not like most other clubs.

I’ll be proud to raise the Palestine flag – again.

    Effective video.

Not that I’m personally a flag shag – but surely they are not illegal ‘yet’ anyway…

But I’d like to see a good few various flags if there’s to be ones at Parkhead on Wednesday –

Having Scottish, Irish and Palestine ones mixing and matching it up might give UEFA something to chew over regarding charges…

But controversial banners and I’m afraid Celtic will be found guilty m’lord !

The pied pipers of ‘Palestine’. The same flag that was hoisted in celebration on October 8th. The flag of shame and provocation. There is no ‘Palestine’, there never was but anti-Jewish hatred has manifested itself in various guises over millennia.

Sick of your monotheistic belief and standpoint John S!
You think that God is the God of Israel and Israel alone. But it is not so!
God made everything and so, all men can call God their Father.
God does not belong to Israel!
The intransigence of the Israeli position on the Palestine question means they do not seek a peaceful solution. And no peaceful solution will be found until both sides compromise to the appropriate degree. But Israel holds the power so they must move first.
Israel believes they are absolutely right in this matter because their God is on their side.
But God is God of all things and of all men who call to Him. He is not exclusively on Israel’s side.
Israel has to recognise that the Palestinian people have rights equal to theirs. Only then will a solution be found.
Your position as witnessed on here is that you are a victim. That is, everything, everyone is against you. You are a coward John because you do not believe that you can do any wrong.
So, I support the right to fly a Palestinian flag at the game, in order to show solidarity with the Palestinian people; that they are not alone and that the actions of Israel against them are indeed unjust!
