Back at the start of August Kenny Miller could hardly have been more excited and upbeat.

Switching across his multiple media commitments there was no holding back in his enthusiasm for the Revolution taking place under Micky Beale.

Most of his attention was on a rebuilt forward line on the back of Ryan Kent and Alfredo Morelos not being offered new contracts.

Token fees were accepted for Antonio Colak and Fashion Sakala as the usual suspects drooled over the groovy double act of Sam Lammers and Cyriel Dessers, for back up Danilo was signed because he was Brazilian while Abdallah Sima came in on loan from Brighton.

Malik Tillman refused to return which concocted up one of the best yarns of the summer which was Bayern Munich paying out a compensation fee with a 10% sell on heading to Ibrox as Brighton and Brentford battled for the American starlet.

Giddy on that mind-blowing cocktail, two days before the start of the season Miller went on air at Radio Clyde with the Daily Record capturing his pre-season predictions:

You are looking a serial-winning team in Celtic. There’s been a change of manager and arguably a change for the better.

I felt the summer recruitment is a little bit odd in relation to the players they have signed. I don’t think there’s anybody really who would excite Celtic fans whereas Rangers have had to rebuild, revamp, refresh, whatever you want to call it.

I think there are some exciting names there and it will be tight. I am obviously going to edge to the blue side of Glasgow, I don’t have to but I am going to. I am excited by the frontline of this Rangers team and the addition of Cifuentes alongside (Nicolas) Raskin it is from middle to front especially, it looks very exciting.

A new manager could of course get the exciting frontline to click and end up as SPFL champions, if Miller remains confident he can get 4/1 on the Premiership trophy finishing the season at Ibrox, safely in the hands of James Tavernier.

The exciting forward line has been replaced by Kemar Roofe with Beale’s successor having to find a way to shift Dessers and Lammers with angry bears looking for a new Revolution! to replace Beale’s disastrous 10 months of carnage.

    Yes you do Kenny

Because you’re a terrible pundit who wouldn’t get a quarter of the airtime you get if you didn’t cheerlead the blue side

  • Bob (original) says:

Miller should just stick to looking after his wife’s earrings! 🙂

There was no justification – at all – for any pundits to be upbeat about

sevco’s chances this season, based on their summer recruitment.

The stats for those incoming freebie / cheap buys are there for all to see

online. The only player who did look promising was Danilo:

yes, Brazilian, [but nor Scheidt!], and a regular for Feyenoord as they won their

    league last season.

    Like most/all? ex-sevco players,

Miller is not employed as an informed pundit, but as a simple cheerleader for

    his old club.

  • Scud Missile says:

Ah Kenny nae eyes Miller, wrong again for another season with his predictions, and to think yhey let this DOUGHBALL near scissors.

  • the maister says:

Miller could talk the legs off a sevco centre-back.
He just has to keep on talking!

  • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

Absolutely the worst of The ex Sevco players as a ‘pundit’ by a country mile…

Incoherent drivel on a weekly basis on Clyde Superscoreboard (when it’s him I switch off unless Sevco lose or draw) –

Hopefully Hibernian beat Sevco at Liebrox or even draw to sicken (or perhaps off air not) this former Hi-Bees supporter from his Musselburgh days them it’ll be a case off…

“The Sky is blue, The Grass is green – And The League was won by Halloween” !!!
