It seems like the strategy at Ibrox is to cross their fingers and hope that Steve Davis and Alex Rae can avoid any major set-backs.
Paying off Beale and his staff will have been a costly business, if there was a competent boss willing to take over they’d be at Murray Park this morning.
Graham Potter, Derek McInnes and Kevin Muscat are the names being strongly linked with the job and trying to stop Celtic with the squad that Beale assembled over the summer transfer window.

The cheap option is to run with Rae Davis, and if they don’t totally cock it up,
keep them in post until season end.
Alternatively, Martindale is the back up option. He will comply with anything the
Blue Room tell him – like he has no player budget, and is getting paid peanuts.

The mention of the Preston N.E. manager was a surprise: came from nowehere,
so though sevco had maybe already made an approach? But Preston is 3rd
in Championship just now – so why would any manager walk away from possibly
taking a club up to the EPL ? Just more ibrox/SMSM p!sh.
Makes sense for the Blue Room just to sit tight for a few weeks…?
