The Bears Debate- was Beale a bigger disaster than Caixinha?

With the search for a new manager hitting an impasse some bears have taken to assessing where Micky Beale stands among manager of their Tribute Act.

It seems that Pedro Caixinha has been the worst so far with the big question being whether the former Liverpool u-5 cone man was worse than the former Santos Laguna boss.

Beale does have a 70% win rate but that covers plenty of sore ones and the fact that he delayed a rebuild until the summer when work should have started in January rather than squeezing more out of Alfredo Morelos, Ryan Kent and Scott Arfield. Once he brought in his own men the Revolution! nose dived.

Four defeats to Celtic over nine months destroyed Beale, beating Ross County and St Johnstone doesn’t make up for his failures in the Glasgow Derby.

Caixinha packed plenty of highlights on and off the park with shouting at fans from a bush in Luxemburg one memorable incident as well as discussing barking dogs and caravans in media conferences.

Regular defeats to Celtic did it for Pedro, like Beale he lasted less than a year with just 26 matches required before he picked up his pay-off.

With the recent lifespan of a manager at Ibrox down around 12 months the next victim really has to ensure that there is no wriggle room in the contract when it comes to his pay off.

In a one horse race in the lower tier of scottish football finishing 24 points in third place behind the winners then getting pumped 6-1 in the play offs there is only one name to put forward as the tributes worst manager. Not forgetting three failures in the fish supper cup as well. Although he walked away before the end it was his team. The happy guy did indeed make us happy it was hilarious

I’ll say this about Beale: he was certainly adept at self-promotion!

I had been vaguely aware that he had been ‘coaching’ at one point in Brazil.

I thought, fair enough, that’s quite impressive.

But the screenshot above shows he returned from ‘time at Sao Paolo’

to join LFC – but ONLY looking after kids from 5 to 11 year olds…?

So, what was he actually doing at the Brazilian club?

Beale talked a good game, and it looks like his managerial career has peaked early?

He’ll probably get a Championship / League 1 coaching gig in due course, and do fine in the background?

Sevco chumps rewriting history … whodda thunk it?

  • John Copeland says:

I would say big Pedro was the more talented of the two . After all he could drive a caravan and trailer….couldn’t he ?

  • Tyrone9 says:

I ve no doubt Beale was encouraged to mouth off at press conferences. Reminiscent of Traynor telling Warburton what to say.
Sky lapped it up, and his interviews shown repeatedly throughout the day.

Every opportunity to speak positively to their followers…. until the season/ game commences.

Now he’s gone, he’s getting blamed for everything. Sutton showing up Boyd was embarrassing for him.
    t’s the R2ngers way.

Negative stories being twisted all morning about Abada , Kyogo , Lager and Palma

But it’s all good in the hood for the team without a manager and 7 points behind the champions

They don’t even try and hide it do they

    • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

They don’t from what I read about them on here Harold…

But still an odd Celtic supporter buys them –

I’ll never know or understand why…

  • Terence Nova says:

As long as its a disaster…I don’t care who provides it.
    Keep them coming Sevco.

  • the maister says:

The five wee stars they had above their crest, not theirs but theirs, must have been stabilisers for them, as they chewed their way up through the lower echelons of the Scottish Leagues.
And one of them for the Irn-Bru Cup! (They are welcome to that!)
