Ibrox fans are being made to wait, wonder and worry over when they will have a new manager.

The process seems to have boiled down to a choice of Philippe Clement or Kevin Muscat but it depends what media messenger you are listening to.

A report on Tuesday from Saudi Arabia claimed that the former Monaco boss had been offered a four year contract to replace Micky Beale with a decision expected by lunchtime on Wednesday.

That set Peter Martin off with a tweet that Clement was jetting in to Glasgow on Tuesday night with the deal set to be announced. It’s not the first time this year that the former Super Scoreboard anchorman has got things badly wrong.

Martin’s Tweet was quickly followed by denials from Chris Jack and Andy Newport, two reporters much closer to the Ibrox decision makers.

At lunchtime today the saga took a different twist when Belgian reporter Sacha Tavolieri tweeted about renewed interest from Saudi side Al Shabab then deleted the tweet an hour later. With 88,000 Twitter followers Tavolieri gets more things right than wrong

There are high expectations on James Bisgrove and John Bennett to deliver a quality manager to Murray Park for training on Monday morning, this one is on the board.

Plan B of Muscat is a hard sell to Ibrox fans with the Yokohama F Marinos boss viewed as Postecoglou Lite, a road that no self respecting bear can go down after the turmoil that the Spurs boss caused at their club.

Continuing with Steve Davis or turning to Derek McInnes or Billy Davies would be a massive slap in the face after finally getting rid of Micky Beale who unfortunately left behind the squad that he had expensively assembled.

What about Mo Johnstone? He must have matured by now!?

Thought Souness was brought in by the Blue Room to save the day?

Souness might find he’s been left with the short straw:

to manage Beale’s ragtag squad until season end…? 🙂

    Now, that would be funny!

Clement ‘jetting’ into Glasgow on Tuesday night…

Is that ‘eastjetting’ into Glasgow or will Sevco stretch to British Airways (the first word of that airline would clearly please these simpleton Guiilbears) !

This manager chase is the gift that just keeps on giving.
