Jonny McFarlane has been drooling over the wise words of Philippe Clement as the former Monaco boss shared some of his coaching secrets.
The Head of Digital Sport at Newsquest, covering the Herald, Glasgow Times, Rangers Review and Celtic Way, had a front row seat in the Blue Room but opted to tweet rather than ask deep and meaningful questions of the sixth permanent Ibrox manager since they reached the SPFL Premiership in 2016.
Clement came over as dull as dishwater which matched the quality of the questioning from the invited reporters from the broadcast media and approved fan outlets.
? Technical
? Tactical
? Physical
? MentalThe four pillars of Philippe Clement’s plan to transform Rangers. He plans to make his new side the best in the league in each area. He concedes he has work to do.

McFarlane came to prominence as a young buck at the Daily Record when he announced that Barrie McKay was a better player than Kieran Tierney, recently he came close to topping that by claiming that James Tavernier was the outstanding talent in the Scottish game between 2017 and 2022.
Today the Four Pillars tickled the appetite of the Newsquest chief, buckets of content can be expected before next autumn’s messiah is unveiled with Clement walking in to three of the next four SPFL Glasgow Derbies taking place at Celtic Park.
This is just meaningless pish. What team doesn’t want to play like that?

Revolutionary stuff.
Imagine trying to build your team based on the basics for a team to succeed.
Did he also say the aim is to win trophies?

More like the 4 Pillocks.
BTW. The Nosferatu look seems to be in vogue over Aye Brokes way.
He taught Pep everything he knows will be the next headline.
This McFarlane fella is right about one thing but it’s a shame he omitted to add another thing…
Tavernier WAS INDEED the outstanding talent in the Scottish game between 2017 and 2022 (and still is) –
At being given countless opportunities to score for Sevco from THE PENALTY SPOT !
John Paul le Guen II
When MacFarlane was employed as a copy boy type at the Record , they used to send him to the Rangers AGM at the Armadillo to set up a single camera to record the event . Any grandchild aged 12 and under could do the same with their eyes shut and wearing boxing gloves !
