Malik Tillman moonbeam goes into overdrive

Philippe Clement’s January war-chest is in for a £1.2m boost… according to the Daily Record.

That should take it to around the £1.2m mark after Micky Beale’s disastrous Revolution left the club down £13.1m.

The latest yarn all comes from the hurt of realising that after one season at Ibrox the last place that Malik Tillman wanted to play his football was at Ibrox.

Beale supplied all the talk about his incredible relationship with Malik, what a fantastic talent the boy was, blah blah but the bottom line is that after a season on loan from Bayern Munich he had no intention of returning to a bunch of serial losers.

To cushion the blow the Rangers Review came up with the fantasy that the Ibrox club had been paid for taking Tillman on loan and would get a cut of any future transfer fee to compensate for not getting the midfielder on a permanent basis.

No other loan deal anywhere in football has been constructed on the same terms- after good news from the Rangers Review other mainstream publishers decided to share the joy.

In an ironic move Tillman joined PSV Eindhoven on loan, coming on as a late substitute as they crushed Beale’s side 5-1 in a Champions League play-off, picking up a booking for a late foul on Todd Cantwell.

It remains to be seen if a similar loan deal has been negotiated with Brighton over Abdallah Sima.
