After he passed his rehearsal at Pittodrie three weeks ago with flying colours Andrew Dallas was trusted with VAR duties at Hampden yesterday.
With Dave Cormack and Alan Burrows staying silent on the Connor Goldson penalty incident they effectively invited yesterday’s decisions as 19,000 Aberdeen fans travelled to Hampden hoping that their team had a fair crack at winning their first trophy in nine years, their first Hampden trophy in 33 years. They never stood a chance.
Stefan Gartenmann was involved in incidents in both matches, at Pittodrie he pulled Goldson’s jersey inside the penalty box, at Hampden Todd Cantwell pulled on his jersey for a few seconds.
Dallas saw the two similar incidents differently, at the start of November there were three pulls on Celtic shirts in the penalty box at Ross County, Dallas didn’t refer referee David Munro to the pitchside monitor to review either of them.

As they made their way back from Hampden Aberdeen fans expressed their anger about the decisions and the repeat appointment of Dallas.
It is highly unlikely that Cormack or Burrows will rock the boat by presenting evidence and asking questions.

After yesterday’s performance Dallas is favourite for the VAR role in the December 30 Glasgow Derby, the other contenders know the standard required.

If this is the kind of assistance they get with a VAR system in place, I cannot even begin to fathom what it was like before TV cameras were focused on them or even in the early days before analysis, they must have more tainted titles than Lance Armstrong over the decades, these refs necks are unmarkable, I said a couple if years ago Walsh n Dallas are a new breed and they prove it every week.
The cheating that goes on with refs,var had been tried and tested by them that run the game,see how far they can get every week with more and more cheating it will talk all clubs to cause havoc about these cheats that benefit sevco but as usual nothing will be done. Scottish football is a joke
If Aberdeen FC can’t be arsed to raise it as an issue…why should we ??…The game is loaded in favour of Sevco…and until some other Club really goes to expose the corruption..It will remain that way…End of.

Dallas is his father’s son. A sectarian bigoted cheat who has the full backing of the SFA to carry on and do his magic with his telly screens . He was taken out of the fans line of fire by giving him a permanent VAR role , usually involving his family’s heroes or Celtic. He can and does do a lot of damage when officiating both clubs. Celtic must call this out now because anything less is a dereliction of their duty to their fans and the Scottish game.
