Celtic have been credited with ‘keeping tabs’ on Will Dennis of Kilmarnock.

The keeper is on loan from Bournemouth to Derek McInnes’ side with his contract expiring at the end of the season.

With a couple of other low key loans to his name it looks unlikely that Dennis will be extending his Bournemouth deal where he has still to make his first team debut.

The Daily Record reports:

Rangers and Celtic are both keeping close tabs on on-loan Kilmarnock keeper Will Dennis.

The scouting teams of both clubs have the impressive 23-year-old on their radar. Dennis is currently on-loan from Bournemouth but he is out-of-contract at the end of the season. It means he could move cross-border on a free come the summer. Both Glasgow giants are aware of the situation but any move would be dependent on either side losing one of their squad goalkeepers.

Celtic’s goalkeeping position is bound to be the subject of speculation in the coming weeks with question marks over the three first team keepers currently at the club.

In the final season of his contract Joe Hart’s form has dropped alarmingly but there appears to be little internal threat to his position.

Scott Bain was signed from Dundee five years ago and seems very comfortable as back up having made two SPFL appearances since Hart arrived from Spurs.

Ben Siegrist was signed from Dundee United in the summer of 2022 and has made just two League Cup appearances since switching to Glasgow.

So the man across the water said the the grey brigade are unsackable, they won’t be long in disappearing once the crowwds stay away and the income dries up.

Our Club has provided us with many “mysterious ” signings over the years, and right up there is…Ben Siegrist.
I was given a gift of the Stadium Tour recently ( wouldn’t have bought it for myself to be clear)…and in the “Dressing Room” section I asked the Tour Guide if he knew anything about Siegrist’s “situation”…He looked most uncomfortable…but said sorry no he didn’t know anything.
Now I’m not saying he did…but this is one of those “WTF” situations that will never be explained truthfully.
And we’ve had lots and lots of them over the years.
    Too many in fact.

To give you an answer, bud.
      He’s cunt struck !
Met a bit of pussy during the Australia tour during last years world Cup and plans to move there once,AND ONLY ONCE, his very lucrative contract at Paradise runs down.
He has no intention or interest in forging a career at Celtic.
      Hope this helps.

Celtic have only had a few good goalkeepers since the amazing Ronnie Simpson, I would say “The Wall” and the “Holy Goal” are probably the only ones to pass muster.

Hart, Douglas and Bonner, ironically the last one was signed by big Jock, have been among the worst.

Apart from being useless they seem to have exceptionally likable personalities in common unlike say their MacGegor or Goram. Maybe something in that.

    Go figure.

They seem incapable of identifying a good one unlike Rangers and Sevco who seem to find them “growing on trees”.

I always said find out the goalkeeper the Ibrox mob are going to sign and offer more.

Well, whatever business we do in January and next summer,

is probably the business we should have done last summer?

The club and BR had a full pre-season to sort out the squad.

Could we have secured CL Group 3rd place with better players…?

Would we be struggling now in the SPFL – could we have retained the LC on Sunday?

  • Stevie says:

No doubt whoever we are linked to the buns will to.
Step ahead and get Shankland proven goalscorer.
    Wee boy Armstrong from killie.
    Big Forster back on loan?
A holding midfielder and a centre half.

To me the problem is not entirely with our current personnel!
The players we had last season were good for a world record breaking Treble!
We only lost three players. (You know who they are)!
The other players seem to be giving Kyogo the
    “Cold Shoulder”.
That they are not even making eye-contact with the striker means we are not looking to put the ball in the back of the net. Or maybe I am missing something?!
