Late on Thursday night Celtic were able to release their ‘Unique Angle’ coverage of the victory over Feyenoord.

The first goal from the penalty spot by Luis Palma was fairly routine but as the clock struck 90 Gus Lagerbielke experienced a career highlight with his first Celtic goal.

Signed from Elfsborg in August he quickly found himself pitched into first team action, experiencing the contrasting emotions of a win at Ibrox followed quickly by a red card on his Champions League debut.

Replacing Stephen Welsh in the 75th minute his task against Feyenoord was to protect Celtic’s first half lead but as tends to happen in Celtic’s Champions League matches the Dutch side equalised in the 82nd minute through Yankuba Minteh.

Another Champions League near miss would have cast a long shadow over Celtic but after seeing a long range shot from Callum McGregor hit the bar there was one further big chance.

Alistair Johnston resisted the chance to ‘stick it in the middle’, instead he crossed deep to Matt O’Riley who repositioned himself to drop a cross onto Lagerbielke’s head to find the net.

There was still seven minutes of stoppage time to negotiate but finally that 10 year wait for a home win in the Champions League was over.

The sevco duds seem to jave done alright last night with all their strikers on target, pause for thought and people should be a bit concerned if they continue in this form leading up to the next couple of weeks.

But also watch out the fixtures get rearranged in the coming weeks and months when will be playing games after sevco and not before.
