Graham Spiers has been sharing his man love for the cheekie chappie, when it suits him, of Scottish football. Ally McCoist.

Spiers recently decided to go against the grain when he picked up on Richard Gordon’s Press & Journal column calling out the bias of Scottish referees in favour of the Ibrox Tribute Act.

Delivered with a knowing giggle the veteran reporter has tried to justify a 68 going on 71 match run of SPFL matches without a penalty being awarded against the second best team in the country.

When McCoist was asked about the ‘remarkable’ run on TalkSPORT he replied by discussing penalties awarded rather than conceded. Spiers lapped up the slapstick provided by the London based radio station.

Despite having their Sunday Sportsound presenter raise an issue that has created plenty of interaction online Radio Scotland haven’t gone near the subject of Gordon’s column in the P & J.

It seems like Kenny Macintyre, Tom English, Neil McCann, Jane Lewis, Steven Thompson and Kenny Miller would rather discuss any other topic than the 23 month gap since Kevin Clancy dared to award a penalty to Aberdeen against the Tribute Act.

Spiers is losing it.The fact he thinks they are still Rangers proves he is an idiot with an expensive education.

As someone once said ” a man is not defiled by what enters his mouth, but by what comes out of it.”
