It took Ibrox fans 13 matches before they started to question the Brains Behind Gerrard and whether he was taking them for a ride or not.

This time last year Micky Beale was about to start out on a run of 11 wins (including against Aberdeen after extra-time in the League Cup) and one draw from his first dozen matches before reality arrived in the final of the League Cup as Celtic claimed the first leg of a treble.

Given the opportunity to win a trophy Beale trusted the old guard of Glen Kamara and John Lundstram while the January Messiah’s of Nico Raskin and Todd Cantwell sat on the bench. From the moment that team news was released Beale was on borrowed time, seven months later he was getting his pay off.

Philippe Clement’s new manager bounce lasted seven matches- six domestic wins and a credible draw away to Sparta Prague earned him glowing praise. It wasn’t just Ian Crocker and the Scottish media that were calling him a proper Rangers manager, whatever that means.

Since the winter break things have unravelled quickly for the former Monaco boss, so quickly that even the Gullible & Deluded have noticed,

When your full-backs are called Tavernier and Barisic you aren’t doing yourself any favours, add in Connor Goldson and Sunday’s draw at Aberdeen wasn’t a surprise.

What did shock the bears was a 1-1 draw at home to ARIS Limassol when a win would have guaranteed Europa League football in the new year, after drawing with the Cypriot side a win away to Real Betis is the only result to secure the same outcome.

Tavernier and Barisic are at the core of a group of serial losers, an issue that the club captain shared in the match programme before a home defeat from Hamilton Accies in February 2020. He retains the cherished armband.

Clement has to work with the core losers and a handful of disastrous signings from his two previous managers. It will certainly test his managerial brilliance.

After a gentle introduction to the club the December fixture list is brutal and unforgiving, especially with a group of players that are used to getting booed off the park in home matches.

Seems there is a common denominator here. Two set of greetin faced fans who think they have a phd in coaching and football management and buy into the bullshit that the boards dish out at the start of the season just to relieve them of their hard earned cash, then do fck all.

Clemente has been at pains to point out that he has only been in the job at the clumpany for a short time of weeks and will need plenty of time .That’s his first mistake ! If he thinks that he will be afforded the luxury of ‘time ‘ in his current employment , then he has NOT been paying attention ! That can happen I suppose when every presser featuring the SMSM , he gets the most easiest of rides and questions about his job ? Attaboy Phil ,love Keith x !
