Five weeks after picking up a mystery injury Pep Clement has admitted that Nico Raskin’s rehab isn’t going well.
The chubby midfielder sent a shot over the Hearts bar on October 29, fell to the ground and hasn’t been seen since.
After being stretchered off Raskin has had the injury assessed but there appears to be no progress being made towards a return to action.
Ryan Jack came into the side initially but got injured during a 10 minute appearances for Scotland with the knock on effect being appearances for Jose Cifuentes and Tom Lawrence.
Asked about the Belgian starlet, Clement told the Daily Record:
Nicolas Raskin will have a new assessment in the beginning of the week because his rehab is not going well.
So I’m not so happy about that but it’s the way it is. We need to find other solutions. I think the chance [for Raskin to play in the cup final] is really small for the moment.
But I’m not a doctor and I’m for sure not a doctor or a specialist in these things. We will go to the best people to find the best and fastest solution.
Since moving to Ibrox from Standard Liege at the end of January Raskin has started 19 SPFL matches with his highlight being named as a substitute in the final of the Viaplay Cup which afforded him legendary status in the eyes of the Gullible & Deluded.
