Matt McGlone isn’t the only Celtic fan becoming more concerned than puzzled by the media comments of Brendan Rodgers.
After the 3-1 win at St Johnstone last week the Irishman told Sky Sports that he had never been angrier than when he had delivered his half time team talk with the hoops trailing 1-0.
Fast forward a week and after a half-time transformation in the other direction Rodgers was all mellow and diplomatic, even declining the opportunity of change to come in the January transfer window.
For Celtic fans concerned by a run of three wins in seven matches going into a hectic schedule of matches before the winter break.
Not quite getting this interview. It’s not on the same planet as many of the supporters views. Last week he made a big public thing of how angry he was – and now this! I’m getting the impression of a man not quite on it and psychologically going from pillar to post! https://t.co/PTeUqJhpr4

Will Brendan Rodgers be managing Celtic at the start of next season?
Yes, teething troubles will soon be sorted
No, the signs are there, issues under the surface
What a manager says to the media in a five minute interview can of course be very different to what goes on within the dressing room but media interviews are a message to supporters, their only glimpse into the inside of the club.
Rodgers will face the media again tomorrow ahead of the Champions League tie with Feyenoord, a match that already has many unwelcome statistics associated to it without adding concerns about domestic problems.
Whilst most of us have been rightly moaning about the unimpressive,
summer transfer business,
it feels like there could now be a bigger issue?
Maybe the squad – which still contains the majority of the Treble-winners –
just don’t fancy Rodgers?
A Treble winning squad which fairly recently played exciting, winning ‘Angeball’,
is now looking like a bunch of strangers – with a disturbing lack of fight on the pitch.
And a couple of decent January signings might not actually change much? 🙁
A $nake is always a $nake and Rodger$ is a $nake.
One worry I have …is…If Phillips is the best in line after CCV…then we are in trouble…He is mince…Oh and Welsh has rarely let us down…Just saying…and makes you wonder how selections are arrived at.
