Giggling Graham Spiers- Ibrox penalty run only becomes significant when it reaches 100

Graham Spiers has been chuckling and giggling through a podcast about the 71 match run in which no penalties have been awarded against the Ibrox Tribute Act.

Two Prime Ministers and two Ibrox messiahs ago Kevin Clancy awarded a penalty against Giovanni van Bronckhorst’s side at Pittodrie. Lewis Ferguson scored, an eight point letter of complaint to the SFA was leaked to Sky Sports and ever since no referee has dared to do a Clancy. Not even Clancy as he demonstrated at Ibrox on Saturday.

After 68 matches Richard Gordon brought the issue into the mainstream with an opinion piece in the Press & Journal, predictably BBC Scotland completely blanked the statistics laid out by their Sunday presenter, preferring to share cosy chat between Kenny Macintyre, Tom English, Neil McCann and Kenny Miller on the Clement Revolution.

Six days and two matches after publication Spiers decided to comment on the article, rather than look at the issue raised he went off on a tangent discussing Gordon’s status within the state broadcaster. Anything contentious involving issues at Ibrox doesn’t get near broadcasting or publishing but Spiers won’t confirm that.

After a flood on comments on his Twitter account Spiers called in his mate Matthew Lindsay from the Herald to discuss the issue with Internet Bampots represented by two media wannabes in Alan Morrison and ‘Harry Brady’ who prefers to hide his real name when he discusses football matters.

It is perfectly obvious that there is something there that has to be addressed, I’ve called it freakish, Matthew, who doesn’t really place great store in the stats, none the less calls the stat bizarre.

I keep coming back to this point, if this goes on (giggle giggle), I mean (giggle) if this run of league games goes on to 100 games then, what will happen is, and I hate to say this, Matthew and I will start to look slightly dinosaurish.

There are other descriptions for Matthew and I already in place for their sneering, schoolboyish attitude to stats that go way way beyond freakish and bizarre.

Shortly before the current 71 match run there was a 44 match run without an SPFL penalty being awarded against Steven Gerrard’s side. Truly remarkable.

The penalty issue has been widely covered on social media since the start of the season after the 22/23 clean sheet, only in December is the mainstream tip-toeing into the ‘debate’ with squirrels aplenty.

The only people to blame for this total f**k up is the Sam Dingle fans who show up every week to part with their cash, not the board they don’t see anything broke so why fix it.

LIEWELL and the rest are laughing all the way to bank with the fans money, I would do the sane if I 60,000 fanny’s showing up each week and not bothering to kick up a fuss about the CHISLING going on.

And to think we have the CHEEK to laugh at sevco for the way that klub is run, it’s run better than ours because at least cash or no cash with them, they still spend money on players.

You want the sixty thousand Season Ticket holders not to turn up on a Saturday?
      That ain’t going to happen!
For the very simple reason that they have already paid for their visit via their season ticket.
Do you think Celtic fans are stupider than stupider?
      I mean stupid, stupider, stupidest!?

The penalty discussions are a squirrel story to distract us away from just how bad Celtic are.
