Brendan Rodgers has made two changes to the Celtic side that lost to Hearts last week with David Turnbull and Mikey Johnston replaced by Paulo Bernardo and Daizen Maeda.

Importantly there will be one change in the crowd with the Green Brigade back after being suspended for 13 weeks.

Maeda was a half time substitute for Johnston against Hearts but is in for his first start since the Champions League tie away to Atletico Madrid on November 7.

Bernardo is the latest player to fill the third midfield slot with Turnbull and Tomoki Iwata starting the last two matches.

In their previous meeting this season Celtic won 3-0 away to Livi but did it the hard way with Joe Hart sent off during the first half.

CELTIC: Hart; A Johnston, Carter-Vickers, Scales, Taylor; McGregor, O’Riley, Bernardo; Maeda, Kyogo, Palma

SUBS: Bain, Yang, Turnbull, Oh, Kwon, Forrest, Ralston, Welsh, M Johnston

Jeez Oh – Half Time 0-0…

How on Earth has it come to this tragic situation –

Come on to Fcuk in the second half Celtic !

Rodgers has lost the ability to
    “Read The Room”.
    I daren’t say
    “The Game”.
    but!?
The team are ebullient at 60 mins, two up and dare I say
    “Turning On The Style”.
Time for substitutions, which Rodgers used to be able to make with aplomb and the ability to change the game!
    He brings on James Forrest!
I mean, we have been watching James Forrest since nineteen canteen!
Why not bring on Holm and Mikey Johnstone, to put some confidence into them
Rodgers shouldhave stayed in Santa Ponsa I think and gurdes his biscuit tin. It is a replica of the one Peter
    “The Safe”
Lawwell looks after at the park!
Imean 60 000 punters are paying their weeks earnings to watch that, eh, Game!

  • the maister says:

Slow, Thin Celtic Gruel! So glad I am not paying a season ticket to watch it!

  • the maister says:

And I agree with comments here. The Green Brigade don’t sing Celtic Songs.
They sing exclusively pro I.R.A. songs, which gets a bit obnoxious!

  • the maister says:

Also, the Scottish Game is not open, as it should be in a democracy. It is shrouded in mystery and secrecy. That isn’t right.
The people, the punters have a right to know how our Game is governed and it shouldn’t be secret because it is must be accountable to the politicians who are elected to run the country and guarded by the people who are responsible for making the Laws.
With the Five-Way-Agreement never having been made public, that flies in the face of a Free and Open Society.
Who knows what else has been agreed in secrecy in that Agreement?
No-one knows and that is anti-democratic and it empowers people who have no elected mandate with decision making in Scotland!
And then of course, you end up with puppets in positions of power, such as Lawwell and his dynasty!

  • Charlie Green says:

Anyone else think the only thing wrong with the GB is the one or two idiots who bring flares? The banners harm no-one as in sticks and stones and all that but that stupid smoke bomb thing is the real problem. I remember a while back the tv cameras could pick up the game because of the green smoke was so thick.
    Name, shame and ban.
