Chris Sutton kept tabs on Celtic’s Champions League clash against Feyenoord from the London International Horse Show tonight.
The former striker has watched his old club suffer a decade of misery in UEFA’s elite competition as they took some heavy beatings while coming close to breaking the long running mission for their first home win since October 2013 against Feyenoord.
There was nothing at stake tonight except for a 2-8m euro payout with Celtic anchored in bottom spot with Feyenoord looking forward to Europa League football in the new year.
Well at least the home record rot has stopped even if it was a dead rubber. Worst ever as a player going into a game with just pride to play for and to the player’s credit they did that?

Luis Palma opened the scoring with a 33rd minute penalty but the Dutch champions looked to have secured a point in the 82nd minute when Yankuba Minteh shot home unmarked from 12 yards out.
That looked like another hard luck story for the hoops but right on the 90th minute Gus Lagerbielke headed home from close range after being picked out by a brilliant cross from Matt O’Riley.
After eight minutes of stoppage time Celtic, and Sutton with the horses, were able to celebrate.
Can anyone explain to me how Feyenoord had eleven on the park at the end. Both Zerrouki and their captain should have seen red. Apart from the penalty the ref. gave us nothing.
You’re spot on…his decision making was weird…
Vey poor refereeing performance.
