BBC Scotland as published a poll claiming that Rangers are the second biggest club in Scotland.
As football fans across the country share their love for Craig Whyte on the 12th anniversary of Administration the state broadcaster digs deeper and deeper into denial over the events of 2012.
Despite some strong reporting at the time from Mark Daly BBC Scotland has repeatedly attempted to rewrite history with mouthpieces like Tom English, Kenny Macintyre, Jane Lewis, Alasdair Lamont and a cast of a million minions all on message to sidestep administration and liquidation.
We asked you to rank Scotland’s biggest clubs and over 17,000 of you responded – but who made it into the top 10?#BBCFootball pic.twitter.com/89WeKk3pEF

No distinction is made in the poll between the Rangers Football Club that went into liquidation in 2012 and the new club formed by Charles Green.
In July 2012 Scottish Football League members generously voted them into their third tier as Dundee took their place in the SPL. The new club took part in the Irn Bru Petrofac Challenge Cup, started in the League Cup in the first round with their first ever Scottish Cup tie played away to Forres Mechanics on 29 September 2012. European football was four years away.
Over the course of 12 years Green’s Tribute Act has won three domestic trophies, plus the 2016 Petrofac Challenge Cup, the same amount of trophies as St Johnstone.
Last week ‘Motherwell fan’ Nick McPheat opened the ‘debate’ showing his wacky side he described Celtic not winning a 10th successive title in season 2020/21 as tin pottery. No other current Scottish clubs has won nine trophies this century.

Sevco didn’t make the list ??

Have to hand it to a club only 12 years old being at number 2

For a club that’s only 12 years or so old, pretty impressive for Rangers to get second place.

Which “Rangers” is that in 2nd? Did you add the 2 Rangers Kkklubs together to get the votes for 2nd???

Is that Rangers at number 2 or the 2 Ibrox clubs?

Great start to the day, Joe.
Lest we (or they) forget.
So, this is the 12th Anniversary of “Club 12” ?
Remember, before even sevco was admitted into the
bottom league of the SFL, [as it was then],
Club 12 was the temporary / holding name included in the fixtures list for
season 2012/13 – pending an ibrox phoenix club.
Lest we forget! 🙂
Editor: And as we know Dundee, runners up in the Championship, became Club 12. John Brown had a spell managing them.
I think today is only administration day…
They stumbled on until The Excise finished them in June 2022 –
That’s where the headlines screenshot for the article came from (I keep similar sized ones in ma pocket to put any continuation lying Sevco Huns back in their quiet box and it always works a treat) !
They’re first game was on 29th July v Brechin City and on BBC SCOTLAND teletext it said – Brechin City v The Rangers (I regret not taking a photo of that)…
Therefore as of today they are aged 11 years and 200 days old –
Never ever let them forget that – I certainly won’t !!!
Jesus – The Excise finished them in June 2012 and not 2022 as I wrongly typed…
(Wish there was a wee edit option to correct cock-ups like that) !!!
Living the lie, indeed!
