There was something very different about Celtic last night against Dundee and the fans LOVED it.

To be honest there hasn’t been much to like about things this season, other than winning two Glasgow Derby victories it has been a tough watch for fans especially after the thrills of last season.

Ten days earlier the team had been booed off the park against Kilmarnock by the fans that had hung around for the final whistle following David Watson’s stoppage time equaliser.

That followed on from a laboured 1-0 home win over Ross County that could well have gone the same way but last night something flicked.

At Motherwell on Sunday it had been a game of two halves, a dreadful first 45 minutes followed by a much improved second half even if it took until stoppage time to find two winning goals.

Last night Cameron Carter-Vickers scored in the seventh minute, it was 3-0 by the half hour, in stoppage time Callum McGregor made it 6-0 with the fans roaring their approval as the players left the pitch for a well deserved breaker.

That 45 minutes was exactly what the team and fans needed. After umpteen sleepy performances the horse-shoe was ditched, the ball moved forward with pace, purpose and urgency with lots of movement and options going forward.

Points wise Celtic didn’t make any inroads towards the top of the table but the goal difference gap is down to one but best of all players and supporters have something to believe in with a new benchmark set.

    Yep it was good indeed…

Unlike the ‘highlights’ on BBC Scotland Sportscene which were awful to watch – it was like in some sort of 3D optical illusion form so it was –

At least you can turn down the three ex Huns analysts but I had no such option over the bloody picture !
