After Celtic’s draw at Aberdeen anticipation was sky high at Ibrox on Saturday with Livingston the visitors.

Without an SPFL win in 15 matches and managed by Davie Martindale a routine home win was expected to cut the gap at the top of the table down to three points with one game in hand.

Things weren’t quite running to script with half time approaching but from a 40th minute corner kick John Beaton opted to take a back seat for an incident that would be called foul at any other SPFL Premiership fixture.

Connor Goldson raced in on goal with his foot raised to threaten Livingston defender David Carson, catching him on the thigh. Beaton conveniently missed it with the ball breaking to Fabio Silva who netted from close range.

Newbie official Matthew MacDermid, another from Lanarkshire was on VAR duty, knowing the stakes at play and looking to continue his progress up the ladder he knew better than to step in and correct a very clear foul missed by his senior colleague Beaton.

Dermot Gallagher usually views incidents similar to Kris Boyd but on this occasion he couldn’t go with any decision other than a foul was committed.

With Willie Collum off the menu Saturday was the second time this year that Beaton has refereed at Ibrox. Tomorrow night Aberdeen visit Ibrox where they will be up against Don Robertson as referee with Ayrshire’s Greg Aitken as back up on VAR.

They’d probably have gone on and won it anyway but that’s not the point here…

They were saved twice big time in their home game v Hearts and that blatant open cheating galvanised their season and saved Clement big time from the savagery of The Sevco Hun Hoards –

Just look at what they have gone on to achieve since that fateful day…

And there’s lots more to come down the pipe and we fcukin well know it –

Neil Warnock will find out about it all tomorrow night !

did anyone care to make the celtic board aware of this systemic cheating by referees in scotland ? Oops !!!

They already know mate, Lawwell is more than happy to have Sevco in rude health so that the OF brand is continued.
That is all that matters to him and DD

And so it begins …. It’s a runaway freight train that will not be stopped unless it crashes . If you think for one nanosecond that the rest of the campaign will be fair and equal by officials to all teams in regulation …you have not being paying serious attention . It will be one set of rules for a certain clumpany and another lesser set for everyone else ……again . This will be the largest set up this country has seen in sport … EVER ,as every single establishment and organisation shall be in agreement with each other to reach the end product . You know how it ends ….

Yes John and that is even more of a reason why we should have tooled up in the January window,we need to be at our very best just to beat that lot never mind trying to beat the cheats in black,so there you have it liewell knew exactly what the scale of cheating is like in the SPFL but decided Celtic are good enough without strengthening too much ie don’t spend money, well I think the league has gone because Clemente is not the greatest manager but he’s no mug and he gets all the help from the MIB.
