The Green Brigade has thanked CD Palestino for honouring them with the release of a third kit of green and white hoops. On the club website it is referenced as a Green Brigade shirt.

It really is an incredible act from the side that finished in fourth place in last season’s Chilean league, the equivalent of Kilmarnock in Scotland or Tottenham in the EPL.

Based in the capital of Santiago, CD Palestino had 71,000 followers on Twitter this morning and are bound to gain a few more fans worldwide on the back of their shirt launch.

Green and white hoops are one of the most recognised shirts in football with Celtic and Sporting Lisbon the main clubs to use that kit.

Shamrock Rovers and The New Saints of Wales use the same kit but across the world plain tops or stripes dominate with red, blue and black the preferred colours.

Yeovil Town and Buckie Thistle are another two to add to the list !

  • Bob (original) says:

Great to see footy linking clubs together

like this via a mutual cause.

As for flying 1 Palestinian flag in the

    away support: that’s wrong.

There should be a large Saltire, a large

Tricolour – and a large Palestinian flag

    being waved side by side!

More than just a club. 🙂

    • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

Yep – Good point Bob (original)…

      I’d go with that –

And it’d give Abada less chance or excuse to feel marginalised…

Although he’s probably terrified the Scottish Football Media picture and report him celebrating a goal with a Palestine flag in the background back to his homeland –

Which the bastards would do in a heartbeat !

  • Eamonn Little says:

Maybe worth sounding out a business relationship with this club.I don’t think we scout South America so much.Could be beneficial for both clubs.
