Kenny Miller takes Neil Warnock’s Aberdeen appointment very personally

You may have blinked and missed it but last winter Kenny Miller was back in football management for 21 matches.

He did continue to pick up money for a column in the Daily Record but the appearances on Radio Scotland, Sky Sports News, TalkSPORT and Sportscene were put on hold as the former Livingston player-manager joined Huddersfield Town.

It was one of the most bizarre management teams ever found in the English Championship with Mark Fotheringham calling on Miller to be his assistant in his first stint as a manager. It didn’t last long or end well.

With relegation inevitable Huddersfield saw sense, binned their young Scottish management team on February 8 to bring in Neil Warnock who lifted them away from relegation.

Miller was at Huddersfield from November 26 to February 8 before returning to his usual rota of media appearances, generally instructing managers where they are going wrong which is something that he has plenty experience of.

The former Huddersfield Number 2 is expected to be part of the Sky Sports team at Ibrox tonight, if not he’ll be sharing his thoughts with Kenny Macintyre and the lads on Radio Scotland as his fallback plan.

  • Captain Swing says:

Here’s hoping ‘Colin Wanker’* goes one better and really ruins his evening!

*This really is a genuine anagram of ‘Neil Warnock’, coined by Sheffield Wednesday fans who detest him, unsurprisingly given he is an outspoken, dyed in the wool fan of Sheffield United….

  • Bob (original) says:

The Warnock appointment is rather surprising, but a refreshing change?

OK it’s only to season end, [initially?], but with all his expereince

some of it has to rub off on the Aberdeen coaches and players?

A left field appointment, but just might produce a decent return?

It would be hilarious / amazing if he can get a result tonight,

but going by Goldson’s ‘missed’, studs-up assault at sevco’s

first goal on Saturday…VAR will ensure a home win.

And with the title race probably being tight,

possibly going down to a ‘helicopter Sunday’,

VAR is going to get a helluva lot more contentious / corrupted.

  • Johnny mcglinchey says:

Miller is the retards retard. HH

  • Jim Duffy says:

I hope Warnock has the baws to speak out if sevco get all the usual decisions in their favour, Via MiB and car.

  • Clachnacuddin and the Hoops says:

    I’m in Yorkshire quite a lot…

Miller is hated in Huddersfield and regarded as an incoherent rambling wreck !
