Another passage of play from Saturday’s 1-1 draw with Kilmarnock is causing alarm among Celtic fans.
Earlier on there was a panic stricken clip that showed the team trying to play the ball out of defence with each defender looking increasingly uncomfortable before Joe Hart sends the ball out of play.
Early in the second half there was an even more worrying passage of play as the ball is played out of defence, Kilmarnock are forced deep into their own half but with no real purpose to the play the ball is pushed back to Hart with panic in defence.
The passage ends with Daizen Maeda fouling an opponent on the touchline, midway inside the Celtic half.

Every player involved looks to be struggling in possession with little in the way of options making themselves available for a pass.

A clearly defined style of play was imposed, the central defenders confidently took the ball out of defence with the aim of getting the ball released quickly down the wings.
Opponents knew the plan but were mainly helpless to prevent the moves developing, Kyogo thrived on it with a regular supply from the wings as well as from Reo Hatate and Matt O’Riley.
In recent months the wing play has been almost non-existent. With Liel Abada and Reo Hatate out injured the supply to last season’s top scorer has virtually dried up.
These issues are being brought up and highlighted on social media, fairly educated fans can spot it yet full time coaching staff, analysts and a £3m a year manager seem unable to operate a system capable of testing the squad put together on a shoestring by Derek McInnes.

Very little movement off the ball and the passing looks like the players have never played with each other before. Don’t know what’s happening in training.

In a sea of utter mediocrity two particular stinkers stand out – Bernabei’s ‘pass’ to Maeda & Scales pass to Welsh. Absolutely fucking woeful.

This was basic stuff under Ange . We routinely got ourselves out of a high press in 4 to 5 passes under Ange. Surely the players can’t have forgotten how to do this?

Hard to believe Celtic have let a mediocre sevco overtake us—it’s unforgivable!!

BR would have been better taking that year in Santa Ponsa which somebody talked him out of, to take this job! He had his head turned.
